Q&A
Berkley®'s Gulp!® Suspended Minnow is a subtle bait that's big on flavor designed for targeting suspended fish or fish holding in vertical cover. The Suspended Minnow's lifelike, fluttering fall makes any vertical presentation around weedlines, wood, docks and dams absolutely deadly.
Berkley's Gulp!® baits are a substantial improvement over plastic bait technology. To attract fish and get them to feed, you have to appeal to their senses of smell and taste, technically known as chemoreceptors. Berkley has effectively bridged the gap between live and articificial baits with the Gulp!® baits. Gulp!® baits are very similar in texture and chemical potency to live bait, but have all the shape, action, and color advantages of soft plastics. Gulp!® actually releases 400 times faster than equivalent plastic baits with a scent trail so intense fish sense it from much farther away, and it is 100% biodegradable.

Love the sinking minnowsI have been using the Berkley gulp sinking minnows primarily the pumpkinseed color for many years now and I find them to be very unique and extraordinary for catching bass. Lately I’ve been hugging the bottom with them and picking up some very large catfish. But I’ve got me and three friends using them constantly.

The first package I opened the worms were too soft. It was like baiting my hook with butter. Two of the worms I through right off the hook when I casted. I took the last two worms I. The package and let them lay out in the sun for a while. They became usable. The second d package was fine. Caught many bass.

Versatile baitI use this bait for Trout! They love it cut into small pieces on jig head or rigged on small 2 hook creme worm rig with original creme worm removed. Also catches bream on small jig head. Of course now in warmer weather I use for bass. Been using this June bug color for years! They don’t seem to like any of the other colors I’ve tried.

These baits are greatWe use this bait in the local rivers and streams.
They work unbelievable for smallmouth and largemouth bass, we’ve caught , crappies and other fish that can’t help themselves and hit this bait.
Local stores don’t sell them anymore that’s why I bought 10 packs online

Total greatness, one plastic to buyTotal greatness, one plastic that can be fished in almost every style from Carolina to drop shot. That adds to value. If you bought one thing instead of eight or nine items that's value. Fishing mathematics! Good colors, scent, texture and the right hardness/softness too. If they could get it to mimic a heartbeat and make it squeal then it would the only thing to buy.

Great WormJust got into bass fishing and have caught most of my big hogs on this lure in the detention pond by my home. Fish are attracted to this scent and hit quite hard on a wacky rig setup that i use.

Worst minnows I have used.Fish are not attracted to these. Do not go by the description or title of the product. I have used these on multiple lakes, rivers and ponds without a single bite. All they do is leak all over your tackle box.
I wonder if this would work well offshore for Red Snapper and similar fish? You'd need to drop it in fairly deep water, but I guess it would flutter all the way down.

Tried it surf casting a few times. Didn't have tons of success but there were a lot of variables that could have contributed to the lack of success.

Excellent lure, tremendous actions catch fish in all conditions. Just wandering if there is any plan to toughen up the head like a Hard Nose?

I didn't think of that but I don't see any advantage of it.
