Built for high-mileage hunts and high altitudes, the Savage Arms® Impulse Mountain Hunter Straight-Pull Bolt-Action Rifle delivers uncommon accuracy in an incredibly lightweight and maneuverable package. The PROOF Research® stainless steel, cut-rifled, carbon fiber-wrapped barrel provides enhanced stiffness along with the accuracy of a bull barrel – all while keeping overall weight low. The straight-pull action cuts the number of movements in half: simply pull the bolt rearward to extract the spent case and push it forward to load the next. This allows you to get off the same number of shots in a much shorter amount of time without sacrificing any of the accuracy potential of the bolt action. The Impulse pairs this action with a rigid AccuFit AccuStock, which secures the action 3-dimensionally along its entire length. The AccuFit stock provides length-of-pull and cheek-height adjustments using only simple tools. The rifle also utilizes Savage's proven user-adjustable AccuTrigger™, delivering a crisp break with no creep along with safe operation. The AccuTrigger is adjustable from 1.5–4 lbs., and will not operate without depressing the trigger blade, making it incredibly safe from accidental discharge. The Impulse Mountain Hunter comes complete with omni-port muzzle brake and an ambidextrous, multi-position bolt handle that accommodates righties and lefties alike. 2-position safety.
