Q&A
The Swhacker broadhead has a unique blade design to provide you with 2 separate cutting edges. The first set of edges (wing) blades, are used for cutting the hide and the first set of ribs. These blades are also used to open the broadhead, and are much smaller than the main blades. The second set of edges (main blades) do not touch anything during the initial penetration. They still have pristine edges when they open in the body cavity and create a widened wound channel. Blade thickness .032''.

Best for yearsI have shot this head on a Creed compound and now a tenpoint crossbow. I only trophy hunt so, I have shot 4 deer, none have gone farther than 60yds. They shoot like a field point and one of the most important things i verified, after i was told by a top archery shop, is the blades won't break when hitting bone. Other brands have harder blades which make them brittle and break easier on impact, they showed me using a pair of pliers, they would snap right off.

Did the job very well-no searching for a blood traKilled a big doe using the Swhacker 2" broadhead, double lunged clean pass through. The broadhead did the job, 2 inch exit with a 60 yard blood trail that Stevie Wonder could follow. This was my first Swhacker kill and it beat the 4 blade fixed Muzzy's that my friend and I used to use and we recovered only 50% of those deer. We are both excellent shots so shot placement and skill is not an issue for us.

schwacker 2 bladesshot a doe broadside at 13 yards. she ran 50 yards and piled up. I gave it 3 stars because technically it did its job. Only reason i found her was that i heard her crash. Only found one drop of blood the whole time

Inconsistent at BestWe have four hunters using these this year, between 100 and 150gr, on Compound Bows and Crossbows, and all I can say is don't waste your money. After seven deer have been hit, all good shots, only three broad heads performed as advertised. The rest had issues with under-penetration, only one blade expanding, neither blade expanding and the retaining band not breaking. That's just not a successful percentage rate I'm willing to put my hunting success and a deer life on. I'll go back to my fixed blade Muzzy's.

InconsistentWe have four hunters, all using 100 - 150gr Swhackers. We've all had very inconsistent results with these broad heads. Thanks to this we've lost a couple of deer and had to track a couple more further than we should have with as good a shot placement as we had made. I would NOT recommend these to any serious hunter.

NOT for Big GameI purchased some 100 gr swhackers to try out for the upcoming elk season. I was impressed with their ability to tune and fly straight at long distances, so I added one to my quiver in case I had a longer shot or tight window. I decided to use the swhacker on the elk I harvested. The shot was 47 yards away slightly quartering away. I released the arrow and the lighted nock reflected a perfectly place double lung shot. However after the immediate impact the bull spun and I noticed my entire arrow was hanging out (zero penetration). I was immediately confused, thinking maybe it pulled out when it spun or other. Luckily for me the bull only ran a short distance and offered a 63 yard broadside shot, this time I grabbed an arrow with a 100gr slick trick standard which hit its mark. The bull ran 40 yards and tumbled down the hill in less than 20 seconds. While field dressing and quartering the bull I found out that the Shwacker broadhead hit a rib and on left a small scratch across the rib and didn't penetrate at all. This broadhead almost cost me a big bull. Maybe they work great for small game but I personally won't put another in my quiver.

great broadheadi have been shooting the 100gr 2in cut for several years now. i have been wanting to get back to fixed blades for the longest time, but always find myself shooting these when deer season opens up. i have killed plenty of deer and pigs with these heads. the heads last surprisely well for being aluminun. that being said, i have had several head be damaged from smashing solid bone(spine mostly). For the price you cannot beat these heads. they leave a massive wound channel and leave alot of blood on a well placed shot. i have never been disapkint with these head. i am shooting 30in draw 70lbs bow 416gr arrow at approx 296fps.

So much blood, Stevie Wonder could have tracked itOk. Watched "the art of slice" on YouTube. It just made sense to me. Was it sponsored by Swhacker, probably, so keep that in mind but watch those three videos.
I was always a fixed 100 grain muzzy guy. Great broadheads just needed something that made more blood and the Rage is not for me. Too many friends who kill deer like nobody's business each season year in year out, have lost their biggest bucks ever with the Rage series. So after watching these videos it's easy to see why.
Shot a doe at 18 yards broadside and she ran a total of 40 feet and fell over. Kicked once. Blood like a highway. It was a cold January day here in Chicago so after about two hours I decided to call it and started to lower my gear until I caught four deer running towards me. Three were bucks. Brought my bow up quickly, knocked an arrow, and shot the symmetrical buck at 20 yards quartering away. Buck ran 30 feet and fell over. Let's talk about the blood trails. There was so much blood it looked like a crime scene on CSI Miami, so much blood Stevie Wonder could have tracked those deer. My buddy shot a doe in the early season and when we opened her up, complete devastation inside. Crazy nasty. Tore her up something fierce. Needless to say, my buddy came to help me get the two deer to the truck and was in utter shock at the blood he saw. We will be shooting the Swhacker 2" two blade 100 grain heads from now on. Oh, and they sight in exactly like muzzy 100's! Never had to adjust a pin.
