Hot Foot Throttle or Adjustable Slide Mount
Sometimes, you can't top the original. The Hot Foot Throttle or Adjustable Slide Mount has been on the market for over 20 years, and it's easy to see why. This unique boat accessory improves throttle control for all outboard and inboards. Aluminum casting reduces weight and resists corrosion. Stainless steel hardware and non-stickingylon bearing surfaces ensure trouble-free operation. A stainless steel spring in the Hot Foot Throttle or Adjustable Slide Mount returns the engine to idle position when released. Equipped with toe clip for additional safety in extreme operating conditions. Provisions for additional return springing if required. Uses standard control cables for easy hook-up. Mounts directly to floor of boat with four screws (not included).

Smoooth ControlSuper smooth use! Install is pretty simple, get the adjustable mounting plate sold separate. Hardest part is installing new throttle cable through starboard side of boat. Took about 1 hr to install.

Solid product, wish there were more documentationThis is a great product that no bass fishing boat should be without. We intend to install it on our relatively small Tracker that has just a 60 hp on it, but like my 14 year old captain says, it will promote safety because he will always have two hands on the wheel. I'd give it a 5 but the install instructions are really weak. How hard would it be to include a link to some videos that explain throttle cable selection and maybe even a wizard that gives part numbers for new throttle cables by engine manufacturer? I've had the hot foot for 3 weeks now and it sits on my garage floor as I try to find the time to figure out which cable to order.

Hot FootGood quality part, quick delivery. Only one problem. No installation instructions in the box or outside the box. I had to go online to find out how to install the hot foot. I also did not know that when you install this, it eliminates the warm up throttle on your controls. So, you have to install another device to warm up the motor.

The Hot Foot is the Real DealHow can having a gas pedal on your boat not be awesome? Yea it's safer to have a pedal than a hand throttle but who are we kidding? No one buys this for pure safety. People buy it cause it's fun. And the hot foot delivers big.
If you have a big motor on a little boat then this should be standard equipment for ridiculous fun. Throttle control is exponentially improved and as a result the handling is improved since you can now focus solely on steering and not having to work a hand throttle.
I have a 15' Skeeter with a 115hp motor on a 6" jack plate. With the hot foot I make people with jet skis jealous when I go out to play around.

Should be on every boat soldThe Hot Foot throttle is one device that should become required as a safety device on every bass boat sold. I consider this device to be a life saver since it works just like the accelarator on your car. With this device, when you foot comes off the throttle, the main engine will return to idle speed quickly, whereas with the standard hand control throttle it may return and it may not. Safety should be the most important issue when out on the water and a run away boat is not very safe.

Great ProductI installed a Hot Foot on my 1999 Nitro 700 LX 6 years ago and loved it so much, I had to buy one for my new Skeeter ZX.
Thank you for choosing Bass Pro Shops. It does not come with a throttle cable.

Will this work with Yamaha controls? I have an older universal hot foot now and repowered from an evinrude to Yamaha SHO and it doesnt have the cable slot for Yamaha control cable

Hi, per the manufacturer, the Hot Foot Throttle SKU:421345 model HF-1 can now convert any outboard throttle system to gas pedal operation, even some inboards. Installation is easy as it uses any standard control cables.

Will the HotFoot work on older motors (1960-1970's)
I am restoring an old 13' boat and having difficulty finding throttle controls for my older boat motor and was hoping the Hotfoot would work.

Yes. The Hot Foot by itself is screwed to the floor and cannot be moved easily. With the slide mount, you can still adjust it after the install. It gives you more flexibility.

Slide Plate Dimensions
What would be the size of this plate as for the width and lenght?

The plate is 7 1/2 inches wide and 11 inches long. Be careful where you mount this it must be screwed down to the floor. You do not want to mount so close to the right edge that the screws go through the hull!

No. Just run a new longer throttle cable and connect it the Hot Foot then bolt down the Hot Foot to the floor.
