Cabela's Rainy River Parka with GORE-TEX PacLite for Men
If you want to beat the rain, you have 2 options: Stay inside, which, come on, we know isn't an option, or you can pick up a Cabela's® Rainy River Parka with GORE-TEX® PacLite® for Men and head out confidently. This high-performance waterproof Cabela's jacket beats ordinary rain jackets by a long shot, thanks to legendary Cabela's durable construction and a GORE-TEX 100% waterproof/breathable membrane for rainproof protection that still lets water vapor such as sweat escape. The fully seam-sealed 100% polyester build locks out moisture, while water-repellent zip handwarmer pockets and a media-compatible chest pocket keep essential gear close and secure. A full-zip front with snap and hook 'n' loop storm flap keeps rain off your chest. The cord-lock hood and hem provide custom coverage and reduce drafts, and the droptail hem provides extra coverage. Nylon-lined pockets make sure gear stays in place instead of falling through like flimsy mesh pockets can allow. The extremely packable design of the Cabela's Rainy River Parka with GORE-TEX PacLite for Men lets your Cabela's rain jacket stow into a nylon stuff sack perfect for any travel bag, preparedness kit, tool box, trunk, or anywhere you wisely store must-have provisions. Machine wash. Imported.

Not waterproof at allThere must have been something wrong with the supposedly "GORE-TEX" material on the one I bought because the water came right through even in light drizzle. It fit very well and looked good but was not waterproof at all. I was actually surprised by how much and how quickly the rain came through this jacket. It would have been funny except that I was on a week long rainy camping trip and I needed this jacket to work.

Got exactly what I wanted!Wanted a light weight goretex rain jacket for a summer fishing trip. Was pleasantly surprised that Bass Pro had something and was available to ship just prior to trip. Only had to use it for a couple of hours but it worked like my heavier gortex ... bone dry!

Great product for the priceFits great, has multiple cinch points to keep the wind out. Spacious pockets. Perfect amount of insulation (I should say the lack of) for North Florida summer rain storms. Could use an inside pocket and a venting system

Keeps you dryI bought this coat and the pants that go with it on Saturday and used it fishing Sunday that was cold snow/rain day. I stayed dry and warm from the weather highly recommend you get both as they work great.

Was very impressed with the sizing, and qualityWas impressed with the sizing, seemed roomy to me. And was tall enough, through abdomen and sleeves seemed perfect. Love this jacket, was enough room to wear a bulky cabelas game day hoody underneath Would buy again. 5 stairs

Great jacket, missing a couple thingsI fish tournaments and needed a goretex rain suit on a budget. The paclite series seemed perfect for the job.
The jacket fits well, allows me the freedom of motion to cast, fight and net fish without it feeling like I’m restricted. It has kept me dry in torrential downpours and I appreciate the oversized hood to wear a hat or toque in the colder days without it binding up. The good has shock cords on either side with little plastic holders so you can cinch down the sides of the hood to get a good seal on your head and face.
The only thing I wish this jacket had - larger wrist openings. I find it gets bulky with a sweater and a watch (which I have to wear to make sure we get back for weigh ins) and pit vents. I don’t want to have to take my jacket off, lose a layer and then put it back on in the rain to avoid sweating.
Two very simple additions would make this jacket perfect.

Fits small but amazing protecton from elementsI am a tournament angler so I can't just head in when the weather turns sour. This jacket has been a godsend on the Ontario lakes during heavy summer storms. Breathes well, keeps you bone dry and doesn't restrict movement. I do find however that it fits small. I'm usually an XL in most Cabelas items, however I am a 2XLT in this particular jacket - not a big deal, just strange considering the majority of their products are consistently sized.

Nice but needs vents and bigger cuffsI bought this jacket four months ago. An XL fits me (6'2", 260) with room underneath for a fleece (so can be worn in three seasons). Waterproof, cuts the wind nicely, zippers and seams are solid, and looks nice. I especially like that I could get it in a solid colour.
I have two complaints. The first is that it lack ventilation (specifically under-arm vents or zips). Any kind of exertion, especially if it is humid out, causes the inside of the jacket to get noticeable damp. So this is fine to wearing between the car and the house, but not for any kind of real activity.
The second is that the cuffs are tapered way too tightly. I have pretty average hands and wrists. Between the tapering of the fabric, a slight bit of elastic in the cuff, and the velcro tabs, I cannot get my hand out of the cuff without using my other hand to hold the cuff open. It is also hard to get the cuffs of gloves to slip up under the coat. This is markedly worse if wearing a fleece under the coat. There is no reason for this (velcro tabs on a looser cut cuff would be fine) and it is profoundly annoying.
So, to summarize, a great jacket with two really profound design errors.
