I have drilled a hole in large split shot and use a bobber stopper so the bait acts like a Carolina rig when slowly hopping it in. I have been around people using bait or fly rods and manage to get more bites and catch my limit. I have used other baits and setups and have not had similar results. So whatever the reason, I always have several packs of the brown and yellow pinched floating crawlers with me when fishing for trout.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Georgie boy from gulp alive pinched alive crawlers I bought these 2 weeks ago and caught trout on them.However they only lasted 2 weeks then they dried up in the plastic zip lock bag they came in and wouldn't stay on the hook but just crumbled up like a cookie totally useless. Come on Berkley what happened to the ones that came in a jar of juice I never had a problem with those but I cant find them anymore not in the stores or your web site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spincast1459 from KILLER BAIT! I used the night crawler for crappie in early May and trout in June. I caught fish time after time on the first or second cast. The biggest problem was the fish would swallow the hook so completely that I had to cut the line and constantly re-tie on hooks. My buddy was using corn and wasn’t getting any bites. He complained there weren’t any fish where he was fishing. He put on a Berkeley Gulp pinched crawler I gave him and BAM! He caught a two pound trout on his first cast where he wasn’t getting a bite before. I am sold on these. The Conservation Department will probably ban them as unfair.
