Inexpensive and EffectiveFor $3.50 or less this is a good basic stringer. Inexpensive enough you can replace it if needed or buy a second one and it won't break the bank. Choose your length based on the size and quantity of fish you catch, and whether you will use this from a boat, dock or shore. If you're catching multiple cats, carp or other larger aggressive fish over 10-15 pounds, you might be better off getting some thicker and stronger nylon rope from a hardware store and making your own stringer. For panfish, bass and smaller cats and carp, this one works fine for me.

Quality product...The only thing worse that losing your catch for a faulty stringer is drowning yourself for trying get your fish back. This one holds together. You won't lose your catch if you have it properly secured.
The only other question is which size that you want. It's good to have a long and a short stringer on hand. Generally, i won't use the 15 footer unless I'm fishing from a dock or a high bank.
Whenever I can get close to the water, the short stringer is preferred. I don't usually tie it to anything except my boot laces. That way, being in Florida, if an alligator comes for me, my catch will chase me up the bank, on the stringer, as I'm running away.
