Ruger PC Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle
The Ruger® PC Carbine™ is a well-balanced, fast-handling weapon that delivers rapid fire with readily available 9x19mm ammunition. The carbine is adaptable, with interchangeable magazine wells, for use with either GLOCK® pistol magazines, or Ruger SR9, Security-9, and Ruger American pistol magazines. The receiver is CNC-milled from a 7075-T6 aluminum billet and Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability; and, the receiver comes with an integrated Picatinny rail. The durable, glass-filled nylon synthetic stock has a forward mounted accessory rail, proprietary texturing on the grip surfaces, and a rubber buttpad with spacers to adjust length of pull (includes three 1/2" spacers). The PC Carbine takes down quickly for storage or transport, by pushing a recessed lever and twisting the barreled fore-end from the receiver and pulling them apart. The heavy-contour barrel features fluting for faster heat dispersion, and a threaded muzzle (1/2"–28) for attaching aftermarket suppressors (includes thread protector). The rear aperture sight adjusts for windage and elevation, and the front post is protected by wings on both sides. The dead blow action features a multi-piece bolt assembly that reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise for enhanced fire control. Operation of the Ruger PC Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle is similar to the Ruger 10/22®, having the charging handle and cross-bolt safety in the same location, and the bolt stop and take-down latch working similar as well. The light, crisp trigger also uses 10/22 trigger components. Ships with one SR-Series pistol magazine and hex wrenches.

"More Bang For Your Buck"I bought the PC-9 about a month ago and I truly love the gun!
Ruger did a great job on this one and thought of everything! I like the feel, weight, and accuracy. Very nice grouping at 75 yards! This maybe my close range ground hog gun! I got the 17+1 with threaded barrel model. It's nice that it takes Glock mags also, and fairly quick to change over. Operating perfect like the rest of my Ruger's.

ExcellentI bought this rifle about a month ago. Took it to my range and put 50 rounds through it without any problems. I need to put an optic on it before I comment on the accuracy.. Overall, the gun has a good feel to it and it functions very well.

So much fun!Ruger knocked it out of the park with this one. This carbine is so much fun to shoot. It takes Glock or Ruger magazines. You can reverse the mag release and the safety. It's a takedown model for easy storage. It's tapped and ready to go for optics and it has a front rail to mount other goodies. I've put about 1000 rounds through mine using PMAG G19 magazines which are very inexpensive and I have not had a single issue with Winchester, Remington, Federal, or Blazer 9mm. It's cheap and fun and dead on at 50 yards. I have the model with a threaded barrel so I could add a flash hider. Great carbine. If you're on the fence, get it. You will not be disappointed.

Nice job Ruger!Found myself wanting this gun but couldn't come up with a good reason why. I finally decided to get it just because it looked like it would be fun shooting. Glad I did! Put a 150 rounds downrange on Saturday and loved it! No problems feeding or firing using 21 round Magpul / Glock mags. Decent accuracy and fit and finish you expect from Ruger. Go ahead, get it and have fun.

The complete home defense weaponI purchased the Ruger PC 9 carbine seven months ago and have fired 1,200 rounds thru it. Flawless, very accurate out to 100 yards and enjoyable to shoot.

Not what the description statesPicked up my PC Carbine yesterday. After I got it home, I noticed it is model 19101, which does NOT have a threaded barrel as the description indicates. I had no plans to get a supressor so I am going to keep it, but just wanted others to be aware. Shiped with only one magazine.

Great shooterpaired with a Sigsauer Romeo 5 red dot. Was able to achieve an 1.5in spread at 50yds..switched out the mag well with the Glock well since I have more Glock mags than ruger ( very quick and easy process). Had 2 FTE within the first 7 rounds, ( using a mag pull 21rd) after that and 500 rounds in, no other issues. Awesome rifle, highly recommend.

It is awesomeI had to order it online for in store pickup. It arrived in about half the time I was told when I made the order.
I just left the range and it was flawless, No malfunctions using the Glock magazine insert.
Just be aware I don't think the 1st or 2nd Gen Glock 9mm magazines will work in it. I have a Glock G19 that is a well over 20 years old and the magazines that came with the G19 won't lock into place. I think it is because they didn't have the ambidextrous magazine release on it. I have more recent Glock magazines and they were perfect.
I only used 115 grain FMJ Winchester and Federal ammunition. I don't know
about heavier weight rounds or hollow points just yet.
It seemed to be fairly accurate for my shooting ability, which needs more work.
More range time is needed.

According to Ruger, these rifles ship with a Ruger-SR series magazine well installed, as well as an extra magazine well compatible with Glocks, which you can install if need be. You can also purchase an aftermarket magazine well to share magazines with a Ruger American if you have that handgun. Unfortunately, though, it doesn't appear a magazine well compatible with the LC9 is currently available.

The PC is a 9mm carbine. Your effective range and muzzle velocity will vary, based both on the rounds you use and the shooter, but you'll want to keep in mind that its effective range and velocity will be lower than a similar weapon chambered for a centerfire rifle cartridge.

What scope do you recommend for this rifle

Scope choice will really depend on what kind of shooting you plan to be doing. Keep in mind that even though this is a carbine, it still chambers a regular 9x19mm handgun round, so it won't have the same effective range as, say, a .223 caliber rifle.
The rail will allow you to mount any compatible optics you want, though; you probably won't want anything with a high powered magnification, but 2-4x magnification should be fine depending on the ranges you're shooting at, and you may also want to try out unpowered red dot or holographic sights as well. Really, though, it'll come down to your persona preference, so you may want to try out a few different optics and see what works best for you and your Ruger.
