The Savage® Axis Bolt-Action Rifle features a durable synthetic stock and a matte-black-finished carbon steel barrel and receiver. The grip and fore end are heavily textured for a secure grip, and the trigger guard offers plenty of room for a gloved trigger finger. A silky-smooth bolt and detachable box magazine provide uncompromised reliability. The 2-position tang safety is easy to reach with either thumb. Sling swivel studs allow you to carry the rifle with a sling or attach a bi-pod to the fore end, and a rubber recoil pad delivers superior comfort while shooting. The Savage Axis is an extremely durable, low-maintenance bolt-action rifle.
