Firearm Purchase Guidelines

Description

The Model 88 was Marlin's first tubular magazine fed gun. It was introduced in 1948 but didn't catch on like they hoped, largely due to some quirks with the magazine tube that fed through the butt plate. It was discontinued in 1956. This example is in above average condition for its age. The blue finish looks good with some normal wear, and some finish loss on top of the receiver. The wood is also good, with some of the normal kinds of dings and nicks you'd expect to find on a gun like this. No box or case is included.
