Really like the programmable time feature and the unit stores the last program time too. 2 sets of boots that were worn all day in sloppy, snowy conditions placed on the drier for 75 mins and viola dry and ready to wear!

Plus I can dry another pair or shoes, or gloves, or the waders with the extension poles at the same time. The bonus Power Cell Drop in Dryer is very nice to bring with me while traveling to help dry shoes overnight. Very happy with the purchase.

I have not worn my waders since I received the boot dryer, but have used it a few times on hunting and snowmobile boots and it works great! You can set the timer up to 4 hours, which in my experience has been long enough to thoroughly dry out wet boots and shoes. The built in fan speeds up the drying process substantially over the early convection style PEET dryers, so you could do 4 pair of boots over night if need be. I definitely recommend this product.

I've been having the original, two actually, for years now and I'm constantly having to remove my boys' football cleats so that I can dry my work boots everyday. The original was a little flimsy on the base and would break at the seam, both did actually, so I would hot glue it and continue to use them. Have never let me down and with the glove attachment, my boys can dry their football gloves overnight too. I brought the new one to the hunting camp and can dry those wet or sweaty hunting boots even faster now and now have two originals at home. Eventually I'll get around to replacing them with another one of these because you can dry two sets of shoes/boots/gloves at the same time. Only regret is that I wish it had a true off position. It has a built in timer on a rheostat knob that you can set to 180 mins. It gives you the option to dry with or without heat but not the option to dry with or without the fan. Also, as I mentioned before, it doesn't have a true off position. Once it either counts down or you turn the dial to zero, the lights stay lit for unnecessary voltage usage. I would prefer a true off position that completely un-powers the unit so that I don't feel compelled to unplug it when I'm not using it. Truly needs a separate on/off switch. Other than that, I love it. Much sturdier than the original as well. Well built.

How tall of a boot will this unit dry?

I have 17" rubber boots. Will this unit handle boots that tall?

This will be able to dry the boots, as long as the boots are able to stay straight. PEET also offers a set of AirChamber Dryer Extensions, that will enhance the drying capabilities for taller boots, hip boots and even chest waders.
