Description
Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel
Zebco has done the nigh-impossible. With its 5.1:1 gear ratio, the Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel is the fastest Zebco spincaster ever, by far. No biggie, you say? Well, consider that the Bullet incorporates exclusive patent-pending technology that makes it faster than a 6.2:1 baitcast reel, and faster than a 20-size spinning reel as well. This exciting reel with the space-age design bringing in an impressive 29" of line per handle turn. Combine that with a spate of beefy performance features, and you have a spincaster that can go head-to-head with your other gear—flipping or frogging for bass, say, or burning inlines for muskies and pike, or tossing cranks for aggressive walleyes—without the overruns and line twist issues that plague those reels! The Zebco Bullet's unprecedented feature list includes a high-speed, high-strength, CNC machine-cut brass drive gear; super-smooth 9-bearing (8+1) system with instant anti-reverse; oscillating spool with revolutionary ZeroFriction™ dual bearing-supported pick-up pins; FreeFlow™ Micro 3mm line guide for maximum cranking power and precision long-distance casts; and special GripEm™ handle knobs that utilize 3M soft-touch technology for solid retrieving in any weather. Pre-spooled with premium 10-lb. mono; includes spare spool of line.

( The below is a copy/paste of what I just sent to Zebco on 7-26-19. WARNING DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased one of your new Zebco "Bullet" fishing reels for my wife for her birthday in March because spincast reels are all that she feels comfortable in using. We've struggled with many of your reels over the years, namely Zebco 33's, (and no, I don't have an explanation as to why I keep coming back) and in an effort to avoid some pain, I bought this "very" expensive, Bullet in hopes that because it was the most expensive spincast reel on the market, that it might also be the best quality reel on the market. Sadly, I was, yet AGAIN, disappointed by Zebco. This reel has been used, "maybe", a half dozen times. She caught only a couple, small, maybe 20", walleye on this reel. Well she had a walleye on last night, not a huge one, and the line, out of nowhere, snapped only a couple feet from the end of her fishing rod. Not near the swivel, not near the bottom bouncer, only a couple feet from the end of the line. So at the time, I reached for a backup for her to use and yes, it was a Zebco 33. GUESS WHAT???????!!!!!!!! That snapped too. I learned later that, that one happened because the line went under the spinhead assembly. Although the line going under the spinhead should be the topic of this discussion .......... unfortunately, I have bigger fish to fry ....... no pun intended. So I checked out the remaining line on the spool of this Bullet and it is all "wrinkled/kinked/rough" (I asked my family to provide the adjectives). There is "clearly" something fundamentally wrong with the design of this reel where it is putting a great deal of stress on the line as it is retrieved, and I have NO INTENTION of replacing my fishing line after every trip!!!!!!!! I REFUSE to be "stuck" with this reel. I don't see any Zebco bait cast reels on the Cabelas web site, but I see a Propel reel on your website. I INSIST that you send me two of those reels for me to "trial" in lieu of this one. And guess what, THEY BETTER WORK!!!!!!!!! I need right hand models. Send me free return shipping information for this one and I'll send this back to you first, if that's what you want. Since this reel is apparently USELESS ...... I have NOTHING to lose with these baitcast reels. I "think" I may have "finally" learned my "Zebco lesson". Anyway, I expect "very" quick action on this, so send me whatever you need to send me NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely refuse to believe that Zebco doesn't know about this issue.)
I had had this reel for 3 years now, I have a lake house so I use it several days a week. I love this reel. If you breaking line then I suggest buying better quality line. If the line broke anywhere besides at the reel then it isn't the reel that is causing the break.
Pair this reel with quality line and rod and it will work well for many years.
and if you use ANY reel at a body of water that is dirty then you will need to clean the real at some point during the season be it a spin cast or bait cast.

The reel works fine. Ordering is a problemI ordered the reel by phone, because another item I was ordering did not show up online. I got an order confirmation from the telephone agent by e-mail. Six hours later I got an e-mail notice of "not in stock". If the phone agent did not know the item was out of stock, something is wrong with the BassPro computer system. So, I drove 130 miles to the store to buy the reel. I never got the hunting shirt I wanted, because Little Rock, Tulsa, and Bossier City had no L, only XL, XXL, and XXXL.

Too HeavyI wanted to like this reel. It casts a mile but it's too heavy. I paired it with a St Croix rod. It wants to flip over cuz its heavy and sits high in the seat. I cant recommend this.
I bought 2 of these reels the first year it came out. I couldn't change out the spool on either one. Why?

How light can the drag go?
Lightest lb test line it is rated for? Can it handle 2 lb test? With a drag down to 8 ounces?
Is it rated 'ultra light'? ...light trout gear?
Asked by: firefly21180
This reel is not an ultralight reel. It comes with and recommended for 10lb mono line. It can use 8-12lb without any issues.

How does this reel companies to the zebco z03?
Asked by: TLR6869
Thank you for your question. The Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel has more bearings and higher gear ratio compared to the Omega ZO3. The Omega ZO3 has a dial adjustable drag. Both reels have Continuous Anti-Reverse and can be changed for right or left hand retrieve. The Bullet also comes with a spare spool.

WHEN I ENGAGE THE BUTTON TO CAST, THE LURE IMMEDIATELY FALLS. IS THIS A SIMPLE FIX?
Asked by: SANDY B
It sounds like your Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel is performing as designed; you will want to adjust your technique. Simply engage the button when you begin the forward portion of your cast. Thanks for the question!
