It was easy to get all the different sounds out of the Woodhaven Cherry Real Hen Turkey Call. The call looks great, sounds great and the toms really responded well. I will buy another should I need too.

My previous box call was an HS Strut but compared to this call it was night and day. You get what you pay for so spend the extra cash and you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to put it to work this May in Penn's Woods.

You may hunt Eastern. I don't care what you hunt, but I can guarantee this box call is the one you want in your vest. For years, the price and price alone deterred me from investing into this call, which is now the greatest addition to my turkey armory. I caught this call on sale for almost half price, and I jumped on it. The call was ready to use as soon as I opened it and believe you me, it was the sweetest sounding box I'd ever heard. BUY IT!!!

Seriously this box call will flat out call turkeys from Texas to Tenn. If you have ever hunted Texas you know how important it is to cut through the wind that blows everyday. This call does it and fires up both hens and Gobblers. Enough said!

I really like that the Real Hen features a one piece cherry trough style box with a matched Brazilian cherry lid. This call sends out the most realistic two tone raspy yelps. You will find that it is great for clucks, cutts, and cackles. Even my kids are able to pick this call up and produce remarkable sounds on their first attempt. This call will cost more but you are buying a truly custom call that is not like the other mass produced, foreign made, products on the market. This call will last you for years to come.

Questions & Answers

Do you have to use chalk for this call?

I know most box calls require being chalked, and wondered if this one is the same, Thanks

Yes...it comes pre-chalked from Woodhaven but you will need box call chalk for future use....I use Primos because it comes in a small plastic case and has 4 small sticks that works well and fits in a Turkey vest pocket without taking up a lot of room.
