Specifically developed for rifled-barreled shotguns, the Winchester® XP3 Sabot Slug is the most accurate, hard-hitting and longest-range slug Winchester makes. Unique expansion for unrivalled knockdown energy. Polymer tip resists deformation and improves down-range ballistics. 5 rounds per box.

It is a fantastic productIt is a great product.I think i use a rifled barrel as you know manual instrutions.Other bore with full choke 1* and 2 3/4 ** AND NOT RIFLED BARREL is not prepared to this one.

Zeroed In NicelyDecided to try XP3 saboted slugs this year in my Mossberg 500. Went to the range and first tried a few other brands left over from previous years. The more expensive SSTs and Copper Solids flew all over at 50 yards.Pulled out the new XP3s and was able to quickly dial down the scope to all bullseyes. Very consistent. We'll see what they do to a deer.

great slugI use these in my bolt action savage. Very accurate and have never taken more than one shot on whitetail under 100 yards!

6" groups at 200 yards with Rem rifled barrel.I have an 12ga 870 with a Remington brand 24" fully rifled cantilever barrel. I took my set up to the 200 yard range and got 6" groups with these XP3s. I could barely believe I was getting that accuracy out of a slug gun. I also shot Federal trophy copper slugs and they grouped just as well. I picked up the slugs from the dirt back stop behind the target and all the XP3s opened perfectly....just like the picture. The federals were OK, but did not open as well, so I hunt with the XP3. I had tried Rem solid copper, and they did not seem to expand as well, but I had only tried a few of them.
Super happy with these cartridges in my gun. I have not yet taken a pig with them, nor have I tested their speed or flatness with the chrony, so I cannot comment on those things.

Very fast, accurate slugThe Winchester XP3 Sabot Slugs are very fast and accurate. I shot them in a 11-87 with a Hastings Barrel with very good placement. It's a good idea to sight-in at 25 yards and be above the 'eye. It took me only 3 shots to be zeroed in.

very accurate and deadlyI recently bought a slug barrel for my T/C encore and bought several different slugs and these out preformed them all. Shot a big doe at 70 yards she dropped like a rock.

disappointedI shot 25 rounds of the XP3 sabot out of my bolt action Marlin slugmaster today. They were all over the place at 50 yards. I also had three rounds that did not fire with good indentation in the primer.
This is really disappointing because I had been shooting the Winchester Partition Gold SSP12 and was able to get four inch groups at 100 yards.
It may be that my gun just doen't like these rounds.
I bought 10 boxes of these now I have 5 boxes of fishing wieghts!
