Ditch the BB'sExcellent grouping with the discs at seven yds but the BB's scatter everywhere making this round useless anywhere but your home. You are responsible for every projectile you fire and there is no controlling these useless buckshot...what is the point of them anyway?

Exactly what was promisedI patterned these at 7/ 10/ and 20 yards. The grouping held at all ranges with a spread ranging from about six inches to abut 15 inches. This is an excellent round for personal defense.

These shells don't disappointI bought the 2 1/2" .410 shells for my Taurus Judge. I have to say, they just simply destroy whatever you shoot at. I had a wood frame target holder. The discs made a huge hole in the target and the bb's splintered the target frame. I have to say, I am very impressed.

PDX1Used the PDX1's in my Bond Arms Snake Slayer IV ... all I can say is wow at about 10 yards the disks were dead on all together and made a nice hole surrounded by the pellets.... I use the PDX1 .410 in the top barrel and the PDX1 .45Colt in the bottom as my usual carry pistol... I highly recommend them for self protection ...

Shoot great, but would not use in the house.Not a great load for personal defense in a house with sheet rock walls. The slug as we all know will destroy the wall and hopefully not the family in the house next door. Not really sure what was in the thought process with this load.

Does the 2.5" shell contain any defense discs? The shot size description only mentions BB. If it does, how many discs and how many pellets?

Thank you for choosing Bass Pro Shops. The manufacturer shows that SKU 1693706 has 3 defense discs and 12 BBs.

Is it okay to shoot these in a normal full length .410 shotgun or are they for personal defense handguns only? Also would these work good to hunt coons and coyote?

Per the Manufacturer - "It is safe to shoot S410PDX1 through a smooth bore .410 shotgun, preferably with an improved cylinder choke. These were originally designed for handguns with rifled barrels, where the rifling spin stabilizes the defense discs allowing them to travel in a predictable path. When fired in a smooth bore, the defense disk will not be spin stabilized (no rifling to impart spin) and therefore the discs will tumble and travel in unpredictable directions (meaning the discs will likely not pattern consistently). Would these work good on coons and coyotes – sure, depending on the range. However a standard 410 bore rifled slug or buckshot would be a more reliable choice for those applications"
