I will be taking whats left back.I needed some 14 straight eye hooks to finish some tying, Was close to a Cabelas store so stopped and bought a pack of these. I fish barbless and could not find them (even though the old Cabelas hooks came barbless.). Pinched the barb CAREFULLY and the first one broke, strictly a pinch, no twisting. Pinched eight hooks to get four unbroken. Tied my first Caddis ,broke while tying off the hair, I'm ticked. Second fly, same thing. Pulled out some 16 Gamagatsu's and tied my flies. These are a waste of money and time, plus throwing away an otherwise perfect fly. Bass Pro seems to have no interest in a quality fly shop. None of the White River products are as good as the old Cabelas and those seem to be gone.Used to love shopping there, not so much now.

Poor QualityAfter trying to tie a few flies and breaking the hooks with minimum pressure, I should have paid a few more dollars for a higher quality hook. It has cost me more in loss of good material that what I would have paid for the higher priced hooks. I would not recommend this product due to poor quality.

Decent hooks - poor packageBought 2 - 25 packs size 18. I don't find hooks dull or brittle. They work fine for me.
BUT - the package isn't a tight seal. It has a good 1/2 inch gap at the top on the sides. So when I got home and emptied the shopping bag I found about a dozen size 18 hooks loose in the bottom of the shopping bag. Out of the 50 hooks, I lost about 5 because of the poor packaging. Size 18 hooks are hard to find when mixed up in a shopping bag with a bunch of other stuff.

Don't waste your moneyThese are by far some of the worst hooks I have ever used. To call these hooks dull would be a compliment. Additionally, they are very brittle and the hooks points break off very easily, perhaps even in your vice. Bottom line is if you like wasting your time tying flies on hooks that break and miss fish, then by all means buy some of these hooks.
