Fun to useLots of fun. Used it with 75 yards of backing on my Orvis Battenkill 1 put it on a size 2rod from white River small streams. What a great combo. Needs wielded loops at both ends but what can you do, I only costs $20.

Super performance!This line works super in the small streams in my area. I'm able to make casts not possible with heavier lines and with greater accuracy.

Fantastic !!I flyfish small streams in the Blueridge for native brook trout. I utilize light weight rods & have always had to use reels that looked too large for my rod or would be forced to cut a double taper in half to fit on a more appropriate small reel. I have now used one of these lines in DT2F on my 2 wt rod, & a DT5F on a little 6', forty year old glass rod., both balance with the rod beautifully, cast without effort both distance short & reaching for distance & float well. Both weights turned appropriate leaders over well.
I Strongly recommend these lines, somebody finally had a GREAT idea for fly casters other than those using the ultra stiff rod, long distance casting that seems to be the current fashion in fly fishing !
45’ total length. How long is the belly, taper’s and tip’s on this line?

Per the Manufacturer - "the Classic SS is a double taper line with 4’ tapers on each end of a level belly. Total line length is 45 feet "

Is there a welded loop?

Does this line float and what is the test (amount of weight it can withstand)

This line does float, but after a few hours the tip will submerge. I use a very light tippet which would break before the line would, but I have caught some fairly large trout on the 4 wt with no issues.
