The Defender™ Flip-Open Scope Cap represents the quality you expect from Vortex®. These virtually indestructible scope caps are made of durable, pliable material that fits a wide array of eyepiece and objective lenses. Spring tension quickly flips the cap out of the way when you're ready to take the shot. The eyepiece cap (E-10) holds the cap in the vertical, 45º or 90º positions. Disappointed in designThis cap is bulky, doesn't fit tightly. I have 1in tall rings on my scope and the scope cap interferes with my bolt on rem 700. When you want to open the cap with the tabs, the whole thing starts coming off the scope. It's not a good design. The only advantage this one has over the competitor is durability.

I love mineI’ve had mine for just over a year. I don’t put it through crazy conditions but it has a great build quality and I don’t think it would have any issues. It looks great and is easy to install.

Good for the price.I use these caps on all my scopes the only bad thing I can say about them is that when it’s below freezing they sometimes pop off when you go to flip the cap up. Other than that they are great and hard to beat price wise. Great product

Decent for the priceBought these caps for a gen II PST I bought last year. They are (for the price) decent caps. I had that scope on a 300 wby and the recoil would move the caps all over and even make them come off. I wish vortex would make something similar to Leupold's alumina covers (they are nicer, but 2-3 x more expensive).
All being said, for the price I think they would be hard to beat! I would recommend them, even though I do not use them. Vortex, please make a higher/premium scope cap so I can buy them!

Best caps I ever ownedI have had a lot of scope caps on various rifle scopes. These by far are perform the best. The rubber flexible cones fits tight. The caps a very positive clic when closing and I love how the caps lay flat on the top of the scope when fully open.

Necessary for keeping glass clean and dryI use this scope cap on all my hunting rifles. Nothing like sitting down to take a shot and having crud on your scope (my buddies rifle) whereas mine was completely clean. We had hiked through thick brush all day and my scope glass was completely protected. No problems with it getting pulled by branches and opened right up when I needed it to. Another great product!

50 mm flip capsI’ve had the flip caps on my Viper scope for a month and I really like them. Snaps open and closes with ease.. everything id want in a flip cap.

Excellent CapsI just received these caps for my Vortex Diamondback 3-9 x40 scope. The fit is super snug, so I can't see them moving around or slipping off the scope. There is a very distinct click when closing. I highly recommend these caps!
