Great rubber boots!I have used these boots for several years. My Standard Poodles wear them well. I do my own grooming and I like to keep the feet trimmed short, even during the cold winters. My Poodles can go out in the cold snow to get their "business" done and get back in the house before their paws freeze up and they stand on 2 or 3 legs like I see the neighbors dogs. My Poodles don't mind them at all. In fact when I put them on my 3yr. old male he prances around and seems to really enjoy having them on. He lays still while I put them on and then jumps down off the sofa and he is ready to play in the snow. The only thing I would like to see a little better grip on the bottom because they are slippery on the ice. But they stay on well when you cinch them up nice and snug. And if they should happen to throw one off in the snow, the bright orange color is easy to see.

Great Dog BootsI have the large Standard Poodles. My male weighs 74#, none of it is fat. He's a big dog. The first time I put them on he pranced around the house and I thought he will pull them off as soon as we get outside in the show. But he loves them. It gets very cold here in Wyoming so they help protect his feet when we go outside for the walks. I use them a lot just to protect the feet from the salt used on the side walks to melt the ice. When you put them on be sure to have the foot deep into the boot, then put the straps on very tight and they stay on great. If they aren't tight enough or the foot isn't in far enough they will throw them off but the bright orange is easy to find if you keep an eye on your dog. I totally recommend them. The only down side is they will slip on ice, very small grips on the bottom.

Best boots-field tested!I have utilized these boots on my Griff for 4 years now and they have exceeded my expectations. We have hunted in the corn and grass of S Dakota, the woods and fields of northern Michigan and used them in the deep snow to prevent toe jam. Never have we had a boot come off. If sized properly and fastened properly, they will stay on through just about anything. My dog doesn't mind wearing the boots, so I guess they are reasonably comfortable. only downside is they are not waterproof , but they don't claim to be either. Boots filling up with water in winter? No Bueno.

Stayed on the pawsI purchased these after reading all the reviews, and frankly, there weren't many choices. I used them on my GSP to hunt the Mojave Preserve. I was careful to tighten the booties after the dog had worn them for about 5 minutes. I'm sure that this helped the booties to stay on his feet. Other brands have fallen off despite my best efforts to keep them on. Also, after one day, they looked new to me. Those familiar with this area know how rugged it is. I was definitely pleased with the performance and would recommend to others.

No goI had high hopes for these as they look solid and well made, yet they were a no go for my German shepherd. He didn’t enjoy putting them on and after would kick or pull them off.

Decent snow and salt protection for dog's pawsI bought these for my 80lb Golden Retriever as his fur picks up a lot of ice balls on his feet in the winter time on the trails. I also thought that when we walked after a snow event, the boots would help keep the salt and sand out of his toes and pads.
I've tried them four walks now and I feel they do a good job protecting his feet. It's a laugh riot the first time you put them on, high stepping all over the place. Use treats and he will get used to them. Once we are out the door, he doesn't seem concerned.
On the trail, staying on hard packed snow, they work great. However, my dog likes to get off trail into the deep snow and when there is an ice layer within that snow, when he runs and jumps, sometimes a bootie comes off. I may buy the "socks" that go with it to provide him a bit more depth inside the boots and maybe considering the length of the walk, may duct tape the straps as well.
He is a large Golden, so we went with the large boots after measuring. I may have been able to squeeze him into the medium, not sure. Make sure the entire foot is all the way down to the bottom of the boot.
You really need to keep an eye on them and tighten much tighter than you initially think, watching the straps, etc. Monitor them during walking and expect at some point for him to come out with only 3 on. Good news is the blaze orange color does show up well in the snow, if you back-track his footsteps.
Based on reading other reviews and looking for other options, I felt these were the best bet. I'll maybe update this based on a longer time frame, but 4 out of 5 starts makes sense to me right now.

At least twice, your description says "guaranteed" to stay on. What's behind the guarantee? Will you replace a boot free of charge if one comes off and is lost in a field or thick cover?
Asked by: Denver393
The description is from the manufacturer, Ultra Paws, any guarantee would be through them. For the Bass Pro 60 day guarantee we would need the product back. If you would like to reach out to Ultra Paws to ask about their guarantee please try https://ultrapaws.com/pages/contact-us
