The Traditions™ Vortek StrikerFire™ Muzzleloader Rifle replaces the external hammer with an internal striker fired system. Eliminating the external hammer offers several benefits, including a faster lock time; the ability to mount your scope closer to the bore; and it trims weight off the gun. The Northwest Magnum is equipped with an exposed musket nipple to comply with muzzleloader hunting regulations in the Northwestern states. Williams™ metal fiber optic sights also comply with state-specific regulations. The Traditions Accelerator Breech Plug™ removes easily by hand in the field, requiring no tools. A recessed de-cocking button allows for quick and quiet de-cocking of the gun when needed, and an automatic de-cocking mechanism activates when the gun is opened. The StrikerFire also has some of the same features you have come to depend on from the Vortek Ultralight Series, including a dual safety system, premium CeraKote® finish, and the Speed Load System. This high performance muzzleloader utilizes the TAC2™, 2-stage, competition-style trigger set at 2 pounds. A Soft-Touch synthetic stock and forend feature Hogue® Comfort-Grips to provide a secure hold in all weather conditions. The Stow-N-Go removable butt pad comes off with the press of a button for convenient storage inside the stock. The Quick-T™ Ramrod Handle has a t-shaped piece with brass jag, allowing the rod to function for seating bullets or as a cleaning rod. The Traditions Vortek StrikerFire Northwest Magnum Muzzleloader Rifle is designed for rugged use in a variety of hunting environments, including late season muzzleloading, and rugged Northwest Mountains.
