Don't do it!Bought this to use on my fishing vacation. After removing my old manual winch and installing this unit it did nothing. Checked to make sure there was power to the unit. Jumpered power to the motor, It worked. called TRAC said I had a bed control unit and would send a new one. They did but it was the wrong one, Call back said they would send me the right one. they did but it does not work either. Can't call them today, not in the office on weekends. My vacation will be over before I get it working. It says it does not come with an anchor but that's wrong it is the anchor.

Three of three failedThe first one was running out of control up and down while the pontoon was moored during the week. The neighbors unplugged the power to keep our battery from wearing out. The next two failed on the lake. When bringing the anchor up or down it became sporadic and finally quit. It seems to be either a problem with the auto-deploy or something is locking out the motor. There are 4 buttons on the remote, the manual does not have any description for the "lock" function or how to use it. Spent all summer messing with this product. Going to a different brand...

JunkBought this and mounted it myself. First time out the auto deploy feature didn't work. Then while it was pulling my anchor up the whole gear motor and spool came loose and ripped the power wires off. Needless to say returned it and bought a Minn Kota Pontoon Deckhand. So far it has held up to one outing, and looks to be better built.

wished I had it soonerMost of my fishing is in 50 ft or shallower for Perch, trout, Walleye, and pike. Have a 17 ft fishing boat was tired of old fashioned anchor. This system with a remote, is the best thing for convenience on the boat. I fish alone a lot, but when I fish tournaments my partners were tired of dropping and pulling up the anchor. I can anchor while fishing in any part of the boat.. Anchor will go to the bottom of lake slowly but ill slowly feed out until you stop it, Raising you need to hold button down and stop it in its holder but the convenience over rides that. Love it. comes with 200 ft anchor rope. I installed it directly to my electric motor battery, easy install
