Same seats as 20-year old 'covers' I'm replacingThese are EXCELLENT seats! Turns out my 1997 Starcraft had them installed as OEM with the Starcraft logo on the vinyl backrest. I really only needed to replace the vinyl, but went with new seats as an 'upgrade'.
Much to my surprise, they are the identical seat! That is good news, as there was nothing wrong with the frames on the old ones, which saw 20-years of hard use in a saltwater environment and I bet the former owner of the boat never covered the seats, when not in use, to protect against UV damage. So the covers were old and cracking.
I intend to keep these cleaned, add a UV protectant once a season and will keep them covered when not used. By 20-years use on the old ones - these are an EXCELLENT value seat! New & old shown side-by-side in the picture.

"all weather seats"I purchased these "all weather" seats for my drift boat and within one year the rivets and snaps started rusting.
they claim ALL WEATHER, it even states in the product description that the hinges are stainless steel, that is a lie. all weather my eye. My old tempress seats sat out in the weather for nearly 15 years and did not rust.The only problem I had with the old seats is the vinyl started to crack from sun exposure. I would have gladly paid extra for real stainless steel hinges and buttons.

Snap on system no goodWhen the snaps rust they don't come apart and you end up ripping the. Had one replaced my she maker and it rusted as well and was unable to unsnap it without another snap that pulled through the material again. I guess you need to oil the periodically if you want to remove the cushions

Well built - Look niceI did a considerable amount of research on these before I bought and compared them with many other options. i am very happy with my purchase and will check back if I find otherwise. I have the shadowgrass camo seats. They are comfortable and look very nice. I am very hard on my duck boat and they also look very durable.
Couple comments
I really like that the bottom of the seat has a metal female screw adapter build right into the plastic seat. (see photo) This looks like it will hold up better than other designs I have seen and previously owned.
Here is an install trick. If you have the standard four hole adapter you may find it difficult to get a screwdriver in the screw to be able to screw it in. I ended up buying a cheap mini socket set that held a small Phillips drill bit (see photo). It was a little awkward but I got the job done and did not have to remove the whole assembly. This may not be a problem for you depending on your set up.
In hindsight I wish I had put a washer between the bolt and the adapter.
The only negative thing I would say is that they are not made for really big people. I am 6'0" and 200 and they will be fine for me and probably a person a little larger than me.
One last thing. I think some of the negative comments on the seat are not true (at least anymore). My seat had a strap. I also did not find that the bolts came through the foam as some complained about. Some complained about the blue lock tight substance on the bolts that stop the bolt from rattling out. Really? I am glad they included it. I am glad I didn't listen and when ahead and bought the seat. Cabellas is really hard to beat on this kind of thing.

New Tempress seats junk compared to old TempressTempress was once a good seat. I just received four new deluxe seats only to find they do not have a strap for hold down, cheaper upholstery and weaker mounting system than my Tempress seats I ordered 5 years ago.
Totally disappointed with the new product. I guess I thought Tempress was still building a quality product.
I will be switching to different brand in my guide boats.

these looke identical to the guide series seats by Tempress; what is the difference (besides the price)?

Thank you for your inquiry. The difference is mostly in the construction of the seats. The guide series is also a bit larger in its dimensions and is also made of slightly higher quality materials.
