HardcoreHave used the 10wt mangrove in some other then ideal conditions for fly fishing. Have used it mainly around docks for night fishing for tarpon and this rod has more then delivered. It has been put thru almost every changeling position possible and has continued to produce. There have been times that I have to double check cause I can not believe the rod did not brake due to the way it was bent. I'm sold on the TFO and the warranty sounds great but have yet to use it.

Buy oneI have the 7 wt and use it as my smallmouth bass rod. Handles streamers of any size great, as well as big poppers. I use the Rio smallmouth line with it. I have every intention of targeting some big browns with it soon as well.This thing is durable and just about casts itself. I'd love to get this model in other weights some day. I've fished the six weight and its awesome too as an all around rod. If I could only have one rod, I'd probably opt for the six weight Mangrove. Grab one of these if you want a durable, fast rod that will shine at realistic casting distance and be a blast to fish!

Buy oneI use the 7 weight as a streamer rod for Smallmouth Bass. It's the perfect rod for what I do. Very durable and enough backbone to handle whatever bites your fly. I highly recommend this one! The 6 wt is very nice too as a streamer, nymph, and dry fly rod for trout and as an all around rod.

What a backboneI have a 10wt I purchased over the winter and fish in some really rough areas and the rod has held up well. Even fishing from a bridge in Central Florida for Snook and Trout it has held its own. Wind...What wind? casts well with an Intermediate line.
Headed to the Peace River for some Tarpon and I feel confident with this in my arsenal

Breaks Like BVKIt was heartbreaking, really. Broke on the first cast of the trip and I had to fish with spinning gear all week. TFO's BVK rods are notorious for letting you down, but I was hoping for better with the Mangrove. Sure they'll fix it, but I'll never have confidence in a TFO rod again.

Great Saltwater RodPicked up two of these in a 8wt. Really like the way they feel. I have used rods that cost 5 times as much and these are just as good if not better. Anything TFO is great in my book.
