IS TAYLOR MADE THE BRAND NAME, OR THEY PRINT NAME OF BOAT ON IT? I HAVE SEEN OTHER 20" LIFE RINGS FOR A LOT LESS
Asked by: TONY 34
Thank you for choosing Bass Pro Shops. Taylor Made Products is the brand name.

Is there a recommended maximum weight for using the 20" ring?
When is a 20" ring sufficient versus a 24" or higher size?
Asked by: FunkdiFly
Thank you for your question. According to the manufacturer, the physical weight of the ring itself is:
#360 / #363 3 lbs
#361 / #364 3.8 lbs
#380 / #383 4.8 lbs
There isn’t a “maximum weight” to consider. The USCG requires the rings to be of a certain minimum buoyancy. At the end of the day, a life ring has a single purpose – which is to keep a victim’s head above water.
