Hammer-forged, ordnance-grade frames, slides, and barrels on the Taurus® 1911 Stainless Steel Single-Action Pistol are all machined to exact tolerances for a tight lock up that results in precise accuracy. Skilled pistolsmiths hand-fit and assemble each firearm at their state-of-the-art factory. An extended beavertail safety with a memory bump, front and back strap checkering, and checkered composite grip panels provide an excellent grip for repetitive accuracy and an additional measure of safety. Left- or right-hand shooters can easily engage the ambidextrous thumb safety. The Taurus 1911 comes with genuine Novak® drift-adjustable sights, dovetailed to the slide and a Picatinny rail. A ventilated trigger provides a light pull with minimum overtravel. The Taurus 1911 single-action pistol includes two 8-round magazines.
