quality ain't cheap - it's pricelessI gave my old Swaro scope to a BC sheep guide as a tip and as an excuse to get the new ATX a couple years ago. Ended up getting the 65 Objective for backpack hunts and the 95 for glassing from the vehicle or camp. Though this setup cost more than my first two cars (combined) I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. If there is a better setup for optics on the planet (both objectives with the eyepiece) then I'd like to see it - pun intended. So warm up your black card and pull the trigger- you shan't be disappointed.

WORTH EVERY RED CENT !After years of using a decades old Bushnell spotting scope, I dropped it and cracked the lens. It was time to buy a new spotting scope.
After looking through EVERY SINGLE spotting scope at BPS, I came to the realization that there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the quality and brightness between cheap and expensive optics. I already knew this, having Swarovski scopes on every scoped rifle in my safe.
Now was my opportunity to compare their spotting scopes to the other brands.
ABSOLUTELY A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !
There was no comparison between the other brands.
There is absolutely no other "glass" on the market with the "see into the darkness and shadows" capability of a Swarovski.
I do not normally carry a spotting scope into the field. But the difference that this makes it totally worth the bulk and bother.
You also have to purchase your eyepiece separately. For the money, it should come with a window clamp as well.
Recommend as a gilt? YES, if you spend close to $5K !

Versitle hunting digiscoping scope.I've owned the ATS 80 and ATM HD 65 spotting scopes in the past and have used them for hunting and digiscoping wildlife since 2004. I've been very happy with the quality and results of digiscoping with the swarovski spotting scopes. Recently swarovski came out with the ATX spotting scope. The ATX has the ability to cange the size of the objective lens from 65mm, 85mm or 95mm. The bigger the objective lens, the more light gets entered into the scope which is a digiscopers dream. Digiscoping is the taking of pictures or video through the spotting scope and more light means better quality photos and video. When I'm on a hiking trip which last several days I will take the small 65mm objective lens to save weight and space in my backpack. When I'm hunting or viewing wildlife from my truck or ATV I will take the big 95mm objective lens. Since I got the 65mm and 95mm objective lens I felt like I did not need the 85mm objective lens because I already had the smallest and biggest lens and did not need a middle lens. The pictures and video are coming out great and when using the set up for viewing wildlife the quality is exactly what you would expect from swarovski optics. EXCELLENT. The only downside of the ATX is that it is a little heavier than the older swarovski spotting scopes. But a hunter such as myself does not sacrafice quality over weight. This is a great scope! Fatrascal.
