Works, is cheap, but better options abound.Years ago, I used Amnesia for my shooting head system until I got totally frustrated with it on a saltwater fishing trip. It worked, but the line kept slipping through my fingers when setting the hook. It also bothered me that you had to use a stripping basket or coil the line through your teeth to keep it from sinking in the water or else your casting distance would be limited by water friction. Let me also say that while Amnesia coils less than regular mono, it still has quite a bit of line memory.
Basically, the plusses of this line are that it is highly visible, casts a mile if you can keep it untangled and it is cheap. If you have the money I suggest you look at some of the better shooting lines like Varivas (floats, tangles less) or Airflo Ridge (floats, easy to handle, doesn't slip through fingers).

Excellent Sighter LeaderContrary to another fisher's review, I use this leader exclusively as a non-coiled sighter when Czech nymphing as well as an indicator when high stick nymphing. For me it far outperforms the high visibility backing line that I previously used for sighters. Finally, I find it much more sensitive to takes than floating indicators except when long line nymphing.

SighterBought this to add a "sighter" between leader an tippet for long line nymphing. It's a little too stiff fo rmy need, ended up replacing with an Umpqua tippet material.

Great Line ConnectionI use this line as a short loop connection from my fly line to leader. Works well and is readily visible for an old person like me!

Great LineI used the Amnesia line on a Chuck & Duck rig for King Salmon on a recent trip to the Pere Marquette. It dropped the line down in the water column right to the Salmon and had the strength for the fight.

Simple and timesavingOnce it is tied to the fly line, it greatly simplifies and speeds up the attaching of a new leader.
