The Springfield Armory® XD(M)® Semi-Auto Pistol is an enhanced version of the standard XD pistol that improves ergonomics and accuracy. The ergonomic design of Springfield XD(M) pistol gets you on target quickly and keeps you on target during rapid fire. 3 interchangeable backstraps allow shooters to customize the XD(M)'s grip to the size of the individual's hand. Aggressive mega-lock texturing provides a secure grasp of the weapon in adverse conditions, and enhances control while firing. Long, deep slide serrations offer a solid, non-slip hold on the slide when loading or clearing the weapon. Aesthetically pleasing contours on the slide make the gun holster and draw more smoothly and aid in concealment. The hammer-forged match grade barrel has a Melonite® finish and a fully supported and polished feed ramp. XD semi-automatic pistols have durable polymer frames and a Melonite-coated forged steel slides. A grip safety (similar to a 1911) blocks the weapon from firing unless the safety is depressed, which happens naturally when the pistol is held correctly, but automatically goes "on safe" when the shooter's hold is released. An articulated safety lever built into the trigger blade backs up the grip safety. A loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator give both visual and tactile indication whether the gun is loaded and ready to fire in any lighting condition. 3-dot, steel sights provide rapid sight acquisition, and are dovetailed into the slide for easy replacement with after market night sights; and, an integral rail on the frame allows the attachment of aftermarket tactical sights and lights. The Springfield Armory XD(M) Semi-Auto Pistol fieldstrips easily without tools and with no need of pulling the trigger first for added safety. Comes with 2 high-capacity magazines.
