The 2-blade paddle auger clears an 11" path through snow up to 6" deep, throwing that formerly bothersome snow up to 20' away, leaving only a convenient clearing. If the snow's deeper than 6", simply remove the top 6" until you get through to the ground. This layered removal capability makes this Snow Joe electric shovel a clear step up from any unpowered manual methods.
