Fair at bestI fish the Little Juniata in Pennsylvania where the current is strong and the rocks are moss covered and these cleats just don't cut it. I like the Simms boots but for the cost of the cleats they are not worth it. I'm going to buy a box of stainless steel lugs and use them at a fraction of the cost and a better result. I was told about the lugs from a fellow TU member.

Not Good On Slippery Oregon RocksNot suitable for walking slippery river rock. Like walking on ice. Soft material and surface area is too big. Took them off and told Simms they were terrible. Lugs much better. Looks like lug soles only boots are competing again with felt soles.

they work when newthese cleats work very well in slippery rocky river when they are new.
BUT , the soft aluminum wears out very quickly as does the retaining screws.
difficult to replace them . It's the only cleat that fits These Simms boot so they got ya. they are simple little aluminum pieces. I continue to replace them every year or so because I love the Simms wading shoes.
