Sig Sauer P320-M17 Semi-Auto Pistol
The Sig Sauer® P320-M17 Semi-Auto Pistol is the civilian model of the M17 service pistol chosen by the US military to replace the M9. The P320-M17 utilizes a striker-fired system and a modular polymer-frame. A smooth, consistent trigger pull permits precision shot placement as well as rapid, controlled fire. Sig semi-automatic pistols have several built-in safety features that make them suitable for safe carry. An ergonomic textured grip provides a non-slip hold, even with sweaty hands. The frame features an integral 3-lug Picatinny rail for attaching aftermarket sights and lights. A serialized, stainless steel inner frame assembly allows interchangeability with aftermarket grip modules according to one's hand size. The stainless steel slide features a corrosion- and wear-resistant coyote-tan PVD coating. Operation controls are black. The slide has an optics-ready cut-out, with an optics-ready Night Sight rear plate, and a SIGLITE® front night sight. Front and rear slide serrations to enhance the shooter's ability to pull the slide back for loading and clearing the action. The slide is nicely chamfered and de-horned draw and re-holster effortlessly. The Sig Sauer P320 Semi-Auto Pistol safely fieldstrips in seconds, without the use of tools for cleaning and maintenance.

Sig Sauer P320 RX PistolI have waited awhile for the right 320 to be on sale and this one is it. The pistol has an excellent feel and a perfect barrel length of just under 4 inches. That is perfect for me, I just like that size for concealment and accuracy. The gun was brand new and it is now my EDC since I had it to the range and put a few rounds down so I can now be confident in carrying it. When I say a few I mean a few hundred of course, getting it as cheap as I did was a payoff to being patient and waiting for the right one to go on sale. I am a big fan of SS so I really like the special color of this pistol from Cabelas only and if you are military you get an additional 5% off. Definitely a little more incentive to getting one at that price you are just about getting the Romeo1 free. The gun came in pretty clean just some packing grease to clean up before firing but much cleaner than other pistols I have bought from American makers. The night sights are also very bright compared to my Dan Wesson, giving Sig a nice rep with me as this is my first of their firearms, this pistol and my Beretta are the best made pistols I own better even than my Wesson which was twice the cost. It speaks well of German and Italian gun makers and the quality products they put on the market. I love the way my D Wesson shoots but it doesn't stand up the two foreign makers I am talking about and I don't speak without a detailed experience with my Beretta as I have had it for over 20 years. As for the Sig I think most folks know about their quality first hand.

P320 X CarryI recently purchased the P320 X Carry and have since put 200 rounds through it. The gun shoots extremely well and is accurate with the regular iron sights. I have not yet mounted the Romeo 1 to it, and to be honest I probably will just buy a picatinny mount for it and put it on another gun, seeing as how I don't want the added bulk when I'm carrying the gun. The gun feels great in the hand and the recoil is very manageable. The one thing I like the most about the X Carry is the trigger. It has a very clean break and not a lot of take up which helps me tremendously with accuracy, especially on quick follow up shots. Compact slides and full sized frames all in one gun are popular right now and I'm glad I went with the X Carry. Very fun to shoot.

Nearly PerfectI've owned a Sig P226 for my nightstand gun for many years, and when I tried out a P320 full size at my local range I was blown away. The trigger is much better during actual firing than it is even with dry firing, short smooth reset allowing for great follow-up shots. When Cabelas ran the special deal for the RX (Romeo One sight attached at factory) it was a no-brainer.
Took it to the range today and it felt the same as the range gun; smooth, easy trigger and less recoil than any 9mm I've ever shot. Two hiccups:
1. The Romeo One was sighted at the factory, and must have gotten the "good enough for government work" treatment; it was off by about 1-2 inches at ten yards and a good 6-8 inches at 25. I re-sighted it using my boresighter and saw just how off it was.
2. I had one failure to feed on a 115 grain FMJ round (Winchester) on the last round of the magazine. Round count was about number 40 through the gun. Probably just new gun smoothing out needed.
The benefit of the reflex sight was not as evident on the initial shot, but during double taps and faster rates of fire my requisition of the target was noticeably faster. That's a real-life benefit; it we are ever in a life-or-death situation, slow-fire will be highly unlikely.
Also, if you can get round number 17 into those magazines without a loader, you’re got stronger thumbs than me. They’re tight as a tick.
It's what I expected, another quality product from Sig. Don't expect perfection out-of-the-box, put a couple hundred rounds downrange first before putting it into service (sound advice for any new gun).

P320 XCARRYI did a lot of research before picking the Xcarry up. However should have rented it first then would have probably passed on it. In all honesty it is just a little more accurate than the standard P320 at self defense ranges. The trigger is smooth, mine came in at 4.5 lb trigger pull. However, it is rather vague

plastic rear sightAfter 400 rounds fired the rear sight came loose and slipped off the slide. It is a cheap plastic sight that can not be securely held in place.I found that the pistol is muzzle light under recoil. I will add a lazer-light to even out the balance of the pistol . As for sights I will have to fit an after market sight to make it reliable .This is my first and last Tupperware hand gun.

Great PistolAccuracy: * * * * *
The gun is accurate enough to stack round on top of round at 25 to 30 feet.
Ergonomics * * * *
At the range the gun is great. The grip is good while not super abusive, the controls are well placed, and the overall feel of the gun is solid. Very easy sight acquisition.
Reliability * * * * *
Hundreds of rounds through this P320 without a single issue.
Overall * * * * *
It's a SIG SAUER. Amazing quality and appearance.

Nice gunGreat shooting gun but a little disappointed in Sig quality control. The firearm I picked up had the rear site fall off after the second time at the range. Other than that the gun is a great gun, shoots nice and has a good trigger.

would it be good for competition shooting
Asked by: Maxie 345
Striker fired models usually don't operate better than hammer fired pistols for competition purposes. I'd gravitate toward a hammer fired, single action handgun, such as a 1911.
