Great reel, Garbage rod.Bought in Feb, started fishing with it in June as a backup rod. Hooked a 20+ inch lmb and afterwards, noticed that the 3rd and 4th eyelet from the tip had cracked and bent.
I have an Abu Garcia medium action rod of the same length that has seen bigger fish than this rod with no problems.
Very disappointing rod.

First online order w/ BPS = terrible experience.I purchased this rod & reel with some braided line. BPS cancelled order and said item was ‘out of stock’. Asked if I could do store pick-up as the item is in-stock at nearby location. Was told yes but must pay full price (on sale 2 days prior when purchased). Will never purchase from Bass Pro again.

I don't think soBought it on a Thursday, snapped on the Saturday, maybe I had a monster on the line but I doubt it, not a great rod and the reel isn't smooth, when reeling in, felt a lot of tension even after adjusting the rod's drag and reel several times.

Best bang for your buck in a rod/reel combo!The Shimano Sedona is a quintessential spinning reel. Smooth action, good construction, pleasure to use. The rod feels great in hand and casts very well. They are fast taper, but feels more like moderate-fast to me, so it will work well with both crankbaits and plastics with a variety of techniques. I haven't owned it for very long, so will update if anything changes, but as of now, it's my go to setup.

Would ReccomendBought this not too long ago, feels great in hand, nice reel and rod, best combo for the price. Matches perfect with 10 or 12 pound braid looks good all together. Casts really far. If you are debating on spending some money or a lot think about the future if something super expensive is really a lot better. Thats how i bought this. Best buy for price.
What's the size of this reel for the MH rod? 1000, 2000 or 3000?

What is the difference between the med/lite power and med/heavy power. Not sure what i need for lighter bass fishing .my local store only has med/heavy. Would this be at a disavantage for me.

Thanks for the question. The med heavy power rod will be a stiffer rod than the med lite. the only disadvantage is you may not feel a the bite of smaller fish and your hook set might be to much for smaller fish.
