Different look of bootsPurchased these boots about a month ago for hunting. I was a bit disappointed as they did not look like the same boot that I had purchased a few years back. The color is now light brown with a wider sole. The online picture is not a true representation of what I purchased. However, with that being said, I am hoping that these wear as well as the pair that I purchased a few years back.

I love these boots.I don’t hunt but do a little hiking. They are very comfortable and I wear them a lot. Especially in the winter. I think they are the best at a great price. I’ll buy another pair if these wear out. Very durable.

Great boot, new lookI originally bought these 4 years ago, and they held up great! They did take awhile to break in, but I loved how they wore after. I finally decided I should get a new pair that I hadn't wore the tread off. After hunting around for a replacement pair for the last 10 months (out of stock in store and online), I saw that they were finally available again!
It seems that they have been redesigned. The boots are now a light brown/tan with a black sole. The sole seems a little different and more flared out around the base. I went ahead and purchased them and am hoping it's still a great boot and that the redesign was mostly aesthetic. They are perfect for my job: discrete, not camo patterned, no pink accents, tall and sturdy while hiking in rough terrain, and no steel toe.

Do not purchaseI bought these shoes in April with the intention of hiking all over. Yes, initially these boots are incredibly comfortable. But on hiking in hocking hills for one day. I got the worst blisters that I’ve ever had on the ankle/heel. These blisters crippled me for a week and ruined my vacation. After this incident I carried on wearing these boots with the intention of breaking them in. Which after a small hike in Montana were I wore them for an hour, I’ve yet again ended up with massive, painful blisters on each heel/ankle. Overall, if the terrain that you are exploring is flat, then these are an excellent investment. But do not use it you want to hike any elevation. It will cripple you.

Great Gardening BootsI wore these for 2 straight years of gardening and maintenance. I had to replace the shoe lace after the first year. They are pretty warm and they work for spring and fall weather. You can get by in the rain. The sole did wear away after the first year.

Lived in these for 3.5 yearsI love these boots, I ended up using them for hiking a lot even though that wasn't their intended purpose because they're so comfortable and so waterproof. After 3 and a half years the tread is worn smooth but I DEFINITELY got my money's worth and I'm going to buy another pair. They're so comfortable, true to size, not too hot for summer but with the right sock they're toasty in winter. Just perfect.

Please get my size back in StockI love these boots. I wear them everyday for my lawn maintenance job. They soles have just wore out after a year. But, now I can't get them in my size of 7.5. I have tried 2 different store locations and have been checking online since before Christmas. Please get my size back in stock so, I can get new ones.

UnyieldingHave worn these boots 5 days a week for 2 months! The will not form to my feet ,my ankles are rubbed raw. I'm afraid I could not recamend these. It's true you get what you pay for.
Are these made for upland hunting? Are they insulated?
Asked by: TheSimpleJack
They are *not* insulated. That's one of the things I really like about them. With a thick warm sock and the sturdy leather they can handle some cold weather really well, but they aren't the right boot for hours spent in deep cold.

I just purchased these boots and they came with no care instructions. My husband wears Redwing boots, and some use boot oil while others use a silicon spray. What should be used on these if anything?
Asked by: enygma
I'm not sure what the official instructions are, I've always used some shoe cleaner I already had and then after any major cleaning I spray some waterproofing spray to make sure I don't reduce their water resistance. If I just spot clean I use a damp cloth. Again, not sure what the official recommendation is but this worked fine for me and the sole wore out long before the upper.
