I hate fluorocarbon lineI’m sure lots of people will love this product. For me, however, the marketed benefits of fluoro just don’t come close to overcoming its flaws.

Fly fishing leader materialI find the Red Label fluorocarbon make good sinking leaders for fresh and saltwater fly fishing applications. Excellent product and quality.

Good affordable floroI’ve fish Red Label for six moths now and find it to be a “good” line overall. The one aspect to factor is the care used in the knot used. Knots must be lubricated and winched slowly. It is manageable and sensitive.
what is the best line for long cast ultra light rod and reel ?

I would suggest either InvizX, AbrazX, or even Tatsu for this application. Or if you wanted to use braided line for better casting distance, try Smackdown.

How would this work on a spinning reel?
I have used red label as a leader for both my bait caster and some of my spinning rods. I have 15# and 8# test. Would the 8# work well on my spinning reel for jerk baits, crank baits, and soft plastics?
Asked by: Catalpat001
Hi, it is important that you properly match the size of line you wish to put on your spinning reel to the size of the reel itself. Heavier monofilament and fluorocarbon lbs test lines do not perform well on spinning reels because the diameter of the line is large enough that the spooled line will jump off the reel spool when casting. This creates monstrous backlashes that are not easy to fix – plus it wastes time on the water.
Typically, depending on the fishing situation, Fluorocarbon line will work on spinning reels.
