Savage 93 BTVSS 22 WMR Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle
The Savage® 93 BTVSS is set up to achieve the maximum range and accuracy possible from a bolt-action rimfire rifle. The 93 BTVSS comes with an incredibly stable, wood laminate thumbhole stock with a ventilated, semi-beavertail forend. The stock features a high comb and rollover cheek piece that position the shooter's eye in correct alignment with optical sights. A heavy-contoured, free-floated stainless steel barrel, with a target-crowned muzzle, enhances accuracy. Savage's AccuTrigger® enables shooters to obtain exceptional accuracy with the Savage 93 BTVSS, by allowing you to easily adjust it to your desired weight of pull for a light, crisp release with no creep. A lever mounted within the trigger body blocks the sear unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center, virtually minimizing the risk of accidental discharge. The receiver comes drilled and tapped with factory installed Weaver-type scope bases. 2 sling swivel studs on the forend accommodate carrying the rifle with a sling, while a bi-pod is attached. The bolt features dual extractors for positive extraction of spent cases, and a 5-round, detachable magazine facilitates loading and unloading the rifle. The 2-stage safety is located on the right side of the receiver, and the action can be cycled with it in the safe position. The Savage 93 BTVSS Bolt-Action Rimfire Rifle in 22 WMR reaches out well over 100 yards to take varmints, small game, and medium sized predators such as coyote, fox, and bobcat with minimum muzzle blast and pelt damage.

Great gun but there are a few issues...I've owned this rifle for about 5 years now. However, Ive only taken it to the rifle range 2 times and have never hunted with it. |Here are the pros and cons: 1) the rifle is quite heavy and it undoubtedly gets heavier with a scope, tripod and strap. My rifle complete with the scope and tripod weighs close to 10 pounds! Hunting with it may be out of the question due to the weight. 2) Right out of the box, the clip would fit loosely. I never did address the lose clip issue since when I was careful with it, it worked everytime. 3) It is a very attractive rifle due to the laminate stock and stainless steel receiver and barrel. 4) It is deadly accurate and has a reasonable price.
This rifle is probably good for varmints at over 100 yards away. I do recommend this rifle.

Rough quality but accurateWhen I purchased the Gun I didn't realize the the base holes for mounting your scope where off center so much that I couldn't dial in my scope at 50 yards j was shooting 3 feet to the left had to send it back not sure if they fixed it or replaced it but theirs no sign of any repairs and now the gun shoots straighter than I can see so just watch for the little flaws like that could save you a lot of frustration and on my part ammo lol.

Thanks Calgary Cabelas,I bought this rifle yesterday March 24,2016 and today I tried some shooting in Calgary Shepard rifle range. when sight in I damaged the rear sight and Calgary Cabelas gun departement replaced the broken rear sight with no charge. I really appreciate your help and support, Thanks. I am happy with Cabelas.
1.This rifle has a great accuracy.
2. Quality is good but not the best.
3. Stock is perfect.
4. you can not go wrong with this price.
1. All its components need to be lubricated( not well lubricated by Savage).
2. Scope mounting problems.
3. Open sight is useless, I could not use the open sight even in the 50 yards range. rear sight is the worst one.

Best in it's classHad this beauty for about 4 months now and have never had a problem. Using a cheap Simmons 8 Point scope and I'm able to put rounds in the same hole at 50+ meters. All DAY LONG!. With a little bedding in the stock, it would out-shoot anything in it's class. For the money in a .22WMR, this little gem can't be beat. Awesome job Savage...take a bow.

22 magThis is a really nice gun . Highly accurate gun. The only thing i find about it that i dislike is that the clips are flimsy ,loose fitting and they bend really easy. I put a 22 mag scope on it from cabelas stayed sighted in and i could hit a crow at 100 yrds no problem

Favourite GunThis rifle is ridiculously accurate. I bought one second hand and it is extremely precise. Excellent for coyotes if you can call them in close enough, I prefer the Win-mag to the .22 Hornet as ammunition is a little cheaper and the .22 Winchester magnum packs more wallop. Excellent gun, highly recommended.

Not bad for the priceFor the price - you wont go wrong. Very smooth bolt, nice wood finish although the barrel doesn't seem to be bedded into the stock 100% (there is a little play). If you're going to mount a scope on it, removal of the rear sight elevator will likely be required. Also, Weaver # 12 bases are corret however order two as they are not only sold seprately but individually as well... High mount rings will also be required to clear the rear sight. All in all it's an attractive little unit and very affordable. Good work Savage and thanks Cabela's!
