Ruger 10/22 Sporter Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle
The Ruger® 10/22® is one of the most popular, and widely used rimfire rifles in the US. And justifiably so—the 10/22 has had a solid reputation for reliability and accuracy for over 50 years, making it a favorite for target shooting, plinking, and small game hunting. The 10/22 Sporter comes with a finely finished, walnut stock with cut checkering. The stock has a flat buttplate with a non-slip rubber pad, no barrel band on the fore-end, and sling swivels. The barrel is blued black, and the receiver finished in satin black. The 10/22 utilizes a blowback semi-auto action, and a 10-shot rotary magazine, both of which are legendary for reliability. The hammer-forged barrel locks into the receiver by a unique 2-screw, V-block system that provides unsurpassed accuracy for rimfire rifles. The Sporter model comes with a fine, gold bead front sight and an adjustable, folding rear sight. The included scope base screws onto the drilled and tapped receiver, and is compatible with both Weaver®-style and 3/8" tip-off scope rings. An extended magazine release allows for rapid reloading. The Ruger 10/22 Sporter is a deluxe model of the famous 10/22 Carbine, well suited for adults serious about shooting and hunting with a Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifle, and who appreciate the fine lines and fit of its elegant walnut stock. Made in USA.

Best 22 I ever boughtI bought this rifle about three weeks ago and have already run several hundred rounds through it it’s amazing how well it works. It shoots great and is very accurate. My youngest daughter shot the cap off the javex bottle from about 75 yards away You can empty the magazine very fast it seems as though it never jams now having said that if you use cheap ammo it will jam, I’ve been using the Remington golden bullets and have yet to have one jam as fast as I can pull the trigger bullets come out and empty casings come out Not to mention the fact that it’s much prettier than the regular 10/22.The American walnut stock is a very nice looking stock

Great little rifle, heavy triggerI bought this rifle with the 3-9X scope package awhile back and have had it out to the range several times. I've also gotten half a dozen extra magazines, because it's easy to burn ammo with a semi-auto. (Note that in Canada mags over 10 rounds are prohibited for this particular rifle though it's a rimfire) I like the compact size and light weight, and it's accurate, but the stock trigger has a heavy pull and it's hard to judge the break. Wonder why Ruger doesn't include the "good" trigger with it, but I guess that's a way to get folks to shell out extra, like I think I may do :-). Oh, yeah, if it comes with scope mounted, it's a good idea to get a torque driver, or scope mounting set, and check the mount and rings -- first day at the range after about a hundred rounds the scope was getting loose. A little thread lock compound and proper torque and it's been solid since.

New magazine release?Ruger 10/22 is hands down the best semi-automatic 22 manufactured, a staple in our family between my brother, father and myself we own 6. They date back to an original from 1964, I most recently purchased a Cabela's 50th Anniversary edition with the new magazine release tag. First time I used the gun while walking in the brush the magazine release tag was depressed and my magazine fell out of the firearm and was lost. Great gun but don't care for the new exposed magazine release tag, prefer the older recessed style of release.

Ruger 10/22 SporterBought a Ruger 10/22 Sporter rifle at the Ottawa store this summer 2017. It has a walnut stock and flip up rear sight. Tried it out in August 2017 with the LR ammo I purchased at the same time. It worked like a charm. Mag. was easy to load with the 10 rounds and easy to get first round chambered. Safety in good location and easy to use. Fired 80 rounds with no jams. It did all the Ruger/Cabela website said it would. Extremely pleased with this rifle. Note - It does not come with the BX trigger which is sold at Cabelas.
