Policy changes10 day spike camp in back country of Montana. These boots started leaking on the second day. The boots were 4 days old (2 days of hiking to start breaking them in, 1 day horse back ride in, first day of the hunt they started leaking). I own many Rocky boots and never been so disappointed. Because of weight restriction I could only bring 60lbs, which means 1 pair of boots, I chose the wrong boots. Cabela's if you truly represent the hunter you will take these off your shelf today. If I could rate them a zero I would!

Very comfortable boot right out of the boxI bought these and took them out of the box and wore them hunting. They were very comfortable and very warm sitting in the tree stand. I also bought a pair of Danner Elk Hunter boots that were $310 and while the Danners are comfortable now, they were no where near as comfortable as these were right out of the box. I have no doubt the Danners will hold up better, but for $100 these are a solid boot, especially for sitting in a stand.

Sole falls offI bought these 2 years ago and have only wore them about 2 dozen times because the winters haven't been very cold during deer hunting season. The second time I wore these this year the sole has came off. They have kept my feet warm but can't wear due to sole coming off.

Get boots with Gore-TexI bought these 5 years ago at BPS on Black Friday. I wear them 25 - 30 days/year, only when I get out hunting, so at this point, they've got less than six months actual wear time ( just broken-in) and they leak like crazy. If you want camo boots, get Gore-Tex - otherwise, prepare to be disappointed. These boots require silicone application every 6 months, which I did, but what happens is the creases that form over the front of your foot as they are broken in begin to leak regardless of how much silicone you apply. These boots are comfy, and really warm in the tree stand during the late season, but if your feet get wet on your walk in, you're not having a good day. Contacted Rocky, and the best they could do is offer me a discount on another pair of their boots - I'd have preferred to simply have these replaced. With the limited wear, I would expect 10+ years from a pair of boots. Either go with all rubber, full grain leather uppers or go with Gore-Tex with the camo boots.

poor bootI purchased they's boots a couple year's ago. I wore then a half dozen time's. I wore them this spring turkey hunting. Might as well put on a pair of tennis shoes. After the second time out they leaked like crazy. And you can't keep a pair of shoe laces in them .The square eyelets tare them up.

Won't be disappointed!!!ROCKY boots never disappoint!! My 2nd pair! First pair of Rockies lasted 4 years after intense abuse. Keeps feet warm, waterproofed, and dry. Highly recommended--spend the extra money. You'll be glad you did.
This is my second winter with these boots. During my first ice fishing excursion of the year these boots leaked like crazy! Is there a waterproofing oil, liquid, spray etc.. I can apply to keep these boots from leaking?
