They have come out with the "new" bladed jigs for bass fishing but I have used these for years for the same thing. They may not be as heavy but I use 10# line and the jig gets down to where the bass are. This is a great bait with a curl tail grub for numbers of bass.

are these any good for bass? (the larger sizes)

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, bass will definitely strike these - both large and smallmouth, as will crappie.
