ReviveX WaterproofingI applied the ReviveX Waterproofing Soak in accordance with the manufacturers directions. I wore my rain suit in Canada while fishing and unfortunately I did not stay dry. I ended up wearing another suit under the suit I had washed and coated with ReviveX to stay dry. I would estimate it only took 20 minutes before the rain soaked through and I was wet. Disappointing!
Can you use a scent elimination product after using this?

Hi, per the manufacturer, they would recommend applying the odor eliminator before treating with ReviveX. The reason being, they am not sure what type of odor eliminator you will be using and it could possibly affect the water repellent’s performance.
If for some reason that odor eliminator leaves behind some type of residue, or if for some reason that odor eliminator is somewhat abrasive, it may impact performance.
Picture a water repellent as millions of tiny hairs standing straight on end. When a bead of water falls from the sky, it lands on these “hairs” that are standing straight up and rolls right off. If you get a build-up of residue on those tiny hairs, they are no longer standing straight on end. Instead, they are now leaning over from the weight of the residue. So now when a bead of water falls from the sky, the tiny “hairs” are leaning over and the bead of water begins to wet through as opposed to rolling off the top.
We would recommend spraying ReviveX on the garment after it has been treated with the odor eliminator just to be safe. I hope that helps!
