The Remington® VERSA MAX® Competition Tactical Semi-Auto Shotgun comes with enhanced features for competing in 3-gun tactical matches. Out of the box, the Competition Tactical model comes equipped with an 8-round carbon fiber magazine tube for Limited Division competitions; and a 2-round extension increases the capacity to 10 for Open Division. An oversize charging handle, bolt release and safety selector, and an enlarged loading port facilitate operation when the shooter is under pressure. The raised vent-rib barrel is threaded for the included set of Carlson® Pro Bore™ choke tubes, and the rib features a green fiber-optic front sight and a shallow rear express sight. The synthetic stock and fore-end are equipped with quick-detach adapters for sling attachment, and the buttstock utilizes an interchangeable cheekpiece and a soft recoil pad. The Versa Max Competition Tactical Semi-Auto Shotgun uses the VersaPort™ gas operation system that vents gas from the shotgun's chamber to operate the action. It is a very simple system with few moving parts and no O-rings, gaskets, or seals to maintain. The anodized aluminum receiver comes with a green Cerakote® finish.
