Huge DissapointmentBought this boot based on discussion with salesperson and my need for a light weight, waterproof boot for hiking, photography, hunting. I was replacing a much worn Rocky boot. Bought it in the late fall of 2015, slow to break in over the winter (wearing around house, walks in town). Seemed ok. Today was first day wearing the boot out in wet weather (wet fields of grass, no standing water). Soaking wet feet!!! Both boots leak horrible. Wetness seems to be all around the boot where the sole attaches to the upper part of the boot.

Elk bootsThese boots were great on my recent New Mexico elk hunt. They were comfortable, and warm to the temps of low 20's and dry in heavy rain. I did break them in a little prior to the hunt, and had one hot spot, but otherwise no problems.

AVOID REDHEAD BOOTS!!!I bought these boots to replace another pair of Redhead boots just like them. Those boots were listed as waterproof but started leaking after just 6 months of wearing them. They said they were waterproof! I wore them gently and wasn't rough with them and was only in 4"-5" of water.
So I bought these boots to replace them then lo and behold these started leaking after 5 months of wearing them in shallow water (4-5" deep). I went back to the store and complained and the shoe salesman admitted that RedHead brand boots are JUNK. He said the same thing happened to all his a RedHead boots he bought and he stopped buying them. Don't buy this brand as they are total garbage and leak.

DisappointedI don't usually write reviews - especially negative ones but I thought I had to for these boots. They were on sale for less than $80 so I thought I would take a chance. They arrived in good time and in good condition. When I went to try them on I could hardly get my foot in the tongue was sewn so tight and high. Once I got them on I notices that there was almost no support - they felt like a pair of heavy socks instead of boots. They even got stingy on the laces - too short to go to the top eyelet. So back they go and it costs about $17 to send them back so the bargain is no bargain. I've purchased a lot of good merchandise from BP but these boots are not one of them.

Warm comfortable and dryAfter a day chasing squirrels with my youngest, in a field that was unexpectedly still flooded, my feet were both warm and dry, thanks to thinsolate insulation and goretex. When I am in the field, I try to keep my head, hands and feet warm, dry and comfortable. Therefore for me, good boots are a must. These didn't let me down. I have worn BPS/Redheads for many task outside of hunting. Like the ones I have owned in the past, these are comfortable enough for all day.

Not GoodThese boots were very comfortable. 1st pair returned due to toe box lining collapsing. Second pair the bi colored lungs on the sole are delaminating after only a few months wear. Of two pairs, neither is holding up very well

ExcellentAfter suffering with various aches and pains in my feet this past pheasant hunting season, I decided to break down and buy some new boots. Long story short the RCTs have been great - lots of support, with a good balance of firmness and flexibility. I have worn the RCTs in the field, shoveling snow, and at hunt tests and my feet have remained supported, warm and dry. The quality is great , the boots seem to be well constructed and will no doubt last for several years despite frequent used.

best boots I've ever worn!I have worn a lot of different types of boots, due to I get eczema on the top of my feet if my feet don't breathe well. With any other boot i've worn after a couple weeks of everyday use I would get the eczema back on my feet. I've been wearing these boots since the first day I bought them and Have had no return of eczema. It's been about 2 months. They are also the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. With any other boots I would not be able to wear as much as I can wear these. I even wore them on a 10 mile bike ride then hiked up mt. Rubidoux then rode home. I will never buy any other boot. Thanks red head for making such a great boot......
