Simply the best!I Bought these shorts to replace discontinued shorts from another department store. I tried different brands from different stores with no luck. I Purchased a pair of these shorts to give them a try, and boy I'm I glad I did! I just love these shorts, the length is just perfect, and the material is not to thin, and not to thick, they're just right. I also love all the pockets, I use every single pocket, especially when I go fishing. I just wish there were more colors to choose from in big men sizes. I will be wearing these shorts all year round. Thank you bass pro shops for these awesome shorts! P.s. Please don't discontinue these shorts.

sizingUnless you are at the top end of your size, I would order one size under. I ordered size 38 and could use 36 and still be comfortable. Now I have to use a belt with the 38s

Great Hiking ShortsGood fit, time tested material. Legs not so long as to catch knees when bending. Enough pockets to store items in. Classy looking shorts for sure.

Great productI really like these 8 pocket hikers because they fit right off the rack. I wear these for work and casual wear. There is plenty of room for everything I carry around including phone. These fit well and I appreciate the sides that stretch just a little
These are durable and I have some I've had for years which is another thing I like. It is OK to come out with new this or that but it is nice that we can always count on some things remaining exactly as we like them.
I would recommend these if you are looking for a durable and comfortable pair of Hiker Shorts.

Pockets GalorePurchased the Red Head 8-Pocket shorts for around the house and fishing mainly, these are really comfortable and loose fitting shorts, they fit my needs very well, very durable and last for years to come. Plenty of pockets for all of the gadgets a fisherman would carry. You will not be sorry and for the price, pretty hard to beat. If you purchase a pair, you may buy more than one, you will be going back for more.

shortshad the same thing happen - ordered size 42 for three sets of shorts - one was correct and the other two were smaller - 40 but labeled size 42.
I have to return via UPS and get more. I hope these are correct. QA in India not the best.

Inconsistent sizingPurchased 5 pairs size 40 like I always do, had to return to store and had to get size 40, 42, and 44 all same shorts but had different size labels. Supplier needs better quality controls on this product.

not quite happyI have purchased these same shorts six years ago and they wear like iron. I purchased the same size 38 since my current shorts feel great, but the new 38's seem tight while the old 38's are very comfortable. They have not been washed yet.
Three weeks after I purchased the shorts they went on sale $10.00 per pair cheaper.

Great ShortsI'm loving these shorts. I ordered 3 more colors. They fit great, look good, and most importantly are "forgiving" with the elastic waistband.

Poor QualityHave worn these for a dozen years plus. However my last two orders have left alot to be desired. The fly on all four pair were defective and would not cover the zipper. The last two pair were sized wrong, they may have fit my two yr. old grandson.
Once my favorite shorts now question the quality.

Best Fit and Length Ever! Was very happy to find these hiker/cargo shorts with the perfect fit and most importantly for me, the right length! I have short legs, so the shorter inseam is perfect! VERY HAPPY with the 3 pairs I ordered on-line.

One ComplaintRecommended the Redhead shorts from Bass Pro Shop to a friend. Two weeks after I make my purchase he orders the same shorts for $19.99 each after I paid $24.99. He had a good laugh.
Shorts are of good quality and the length is right on.

Bad Buttons-Great ShortsI, too, have had all the waist buttons break on my 8 pairs of these shorts. Rather than steal existing buttons, I bought stronger buttons from a store and replaced the waist buttons, which aren't seen anyway.
Too bad such a great product has this one flaw!! Come on Bass Pro, get your suppliers to support your usual good quality products!

not goodthese shorts use to have a metal jean button in the front--now it is plastic and i had to have ever one replaced by a boot maker with a metal button- at a cost of $10 a pair--really brings the price up

Hiker ShortsFirst, these are quality shorts that will last a long time. However, the waist size runs very small. The cotton canvas material does shrink a little with repeated washings. If you want a size 40 then buy a size 42 because ordering a size 40 will get you a size 38 that stretches to a 40 which eliminates any stretch. In addition the elastic is very tenacious and for comfort you don't want it to be stretched tight. I eneded up having to buy a second set of shorts as the first just wasn't as comfortable as they should be if they sized correctly.

Not very satisfiedThe 8 pocket hiker shorts have lasted only three weeks. The zipper tab broke completely off. The cost to return it for another may lead to another defective item. I may just purchase a new zipper, but i'am so dissatisfied right now I'm not doing anything with the hiker shorts. You could replace it, but I doubt you would do that.

Good value - Good priceI have been buying LL Bean shorts. These cost less and fit well. They do not look like they will last as long but are much less expensive. I don't like that they are made over seas. They fit well and true to size. They are comfortable and look nice.

where did you buy those buttonsThe shorts are fine. The buttons are awful. Bought 5 pair and 5 times the waist button broke. Took buttons off the lower pocket and they broke again. This would definitely stop me from purchasing these shorts again. Now I have to buy buttons for each pocket in 5 pairs which comes to 30 buttons so they all match plus I have to spend time sewing them all on. I really feel Bass Pro Shop should offer to do this for everyone who has this problem. That is why you go to a name store not a discount store.

Love them.........BUTI bought 3 pair a couple of years ago and had gotten paint, grease, etc on them so I ordered 4 new pair for this year. I have only had them 2 months and 3 of the 4 pair had the buttons at the waist break. The 4 holes in the button just popped, so the buttons now look like donuts! 1 time would be a fluke but 3 of 4 tells me Redhead is using inferior buttons! And I don't sew!!!! LOL Otherwise I love them!

8 pocket shortsI've ordered these twice and bought my first batch in the store in Nashville Opry Mall. They are ideal for casual wear/yard work and general public use/going to the Mall etc. They are comfortable fit like a short should. The colors are attractive and go with most all shirts/T-Shirts.
Thanks for your inquiry! Customers indicate these do run slightly larger and the waist is relaxed.
