Great comboI got the SKU 2254009 and the combo was nice. The reel and rod went together perfectly and it held for a long time (year and a half?) until I sat on the reel and broke it... I had the 2 year Gear Guard so I was able to return it no problem. Only thing with combos is that if you wanna return it, you'd have to send the rod AND reel even if it's just the reel that's broken. All in all, definitely a great combo for its price. Will purchase again.

I like it.I bought this for playing around with bass. Waiting for trout to come in. I put on 6lb test. I found it casts well and could handle a 24 inch small mouth with no problem.

Solid all around comboBought it a year ago. Went on a fishing trip to Hayward WI this month and caught everything from a 22in walleye and a 27in northern on it with a swim bait to setting it up with a slip bobber and crushing crappie with it. It's a great value for the price you could pay $90-$125 for a combo that you wouldn't notice a difference on.

Good reel , bad dealI have a few Pflueger reels , I love them as long as you pair the rod and reel correctly, that's not the case here and it's a little pricey for this deal , BPS could do better

Bad Rod/Reel pairingWhoever paired the rod and reel is NOT a fisherman! I ordered a Medium weight 5'6" rod and it came paired with a micro ultra light reel. The reel is made for a 4-5' ultra light rod....useless in this combo outfit

Last years rod was better.I bought a couple of these last year MH 7' to bottom bounce walleye and also catfish with. Just bought one this year, same specs, and it just does not seem as well built as last years graphite series rod. It is noticeably thinner, like a medium instead of medium heavy power, and the grip/reel seat is definitely a downgrade also compared to last years. I also feel the fit and finish was better on last year's model. Overall the reel is an obvious winner if you've used them before and when buying the combo you only pay approx $20 for the rod which is what I feel it probably is.. A 20-30 dollar rod. I primarily use lite bouncers and it will still work for this application, but if it breaks I will probably replace it with an ugly stik or similar rod.
Thank you for your inquiry. There are several options for this combo regarding the line capacities. These options can be found in the selection chart on the web page, and I have listed them below as well:
100 yds of 4 lb. mono / 125 yds of 6 lb. braid
110 yds of 4 lb. mono / 140 yds of 6 lb. braid
146 yds of 6 lb. mono / 190 yds of 8 lb. braid
185 yds of 8 lb. mono / 220 yds. of 10 lb. braid
230 yds of 10 lb. mono / 280 yds of 14 lb. braid
