Great castingI have bought several over the years, the only down side is the bell housing get line notches worn into it. has happened on several of the reels. they stand up other than that. common problem with most spincast now adays.

Really nice till it breaks after the fifth trip.Purchased one on May 3rd. By Jun 3rd the line release button was broke. Which was very disappointing. I loved everything about this reel up till then. The pins that retain the button assembly are plastic. Would it have been too much to use aluminum or better yet stainless? The button shouldn't have broke after only five times out with it. Disappointed enough I'm not sure if I want to see about fixing it. Or just toss it in the trash. Another button would do the trick. But if it's plastic. It's not worth the time to fix it. Money wasted I suppose.

Poor qualityI bought this reel for my wife to use bream fishing on the Suwannee River. She used it the first time this weekend, and the button started malfunctioning about 1 hour into use....very disappointing. After pressing the button and casting, the reel would not engage when turning the handle. After an hour, she put it down and grabbed a zebco.

Best Quality Underspin - Perfect for PanfishI've been using a PRES6USCX underspin for a couple of years and still use the prior model, the Cetina. They are the best quality underspins I've ever used. I also have a Cetina SC4U, the smaller version, not offered in the President line, a super little reel for 2-4 lb test line.
The President and the earlier Cetinas are very smooth and have a quality drag. I've also found them to be very durable. I've never had a problem with any that I've owned and I use them hard. I do take care of them, cleaning them as needed and using good quality line. I've had the best luck with 6 lb Berkeley Trilene XL in the 6 series. (The smaller 4 series requires 2-4lb line for proper performance.)
Matching it up with an good ultralight rod and rigged with a jig, jig and bobber, or a small crankbait will give you a super panfish rig that will handle bigger fish if you set your drag properly and have some patience fighting the big ones. These don't have a high retrieve speed so smaller panfish-size crankbaits that don't require fast retrieve to produce their action are best. When I'm making cast after cast and retrieving past likely spots these underspins are much more convenient to use than a spinning reel that requires both hands to use, manually opening the bail for each cast and manually closing the bail too if you don't want line twist problems.
I've never used the spincast versions but I've seen some complaints about button breakage on those models. On the other hand, I know fishermen who use and swear by them, so your mileage may vary.
I recommend the underspin model, 5 stars.

good looking reel, disappointed with line casting.I've had my reel for about six months and it has not performred well at all. It will not cast properly.

I have owned two spin cast reelsI have two of these reels and the line release button has broken on both of them . Not worth what you pay for them.
