Unique to the Senator family, the PENN® U.S. Senator Conventional Reels have a 1-piece, fully machined aluminum frame that's designed to keep internal parts in perfect alignment for a long, trouble-free life. Add to that a forged, machined, and anodized aluminum spool with line capacity rings.  With a massive stainless steel main gear and a heat-treated pinion gear, the gear train in the U.S. Senator is built to stand up to anything—even when used commercially. Inside that massive main gear is PENN's proprietary lubed or "wet" HT-100 Versa Drag system. This reel's incredible smoothness is enhanced even further by the use of 6 shielded stainless steel ball bearings. Other features include reversible harness lugs and Versa-Handle.
