Description
Penn Rampage Jig Spinning Rod
The PENN Rampage Jig Spinning Rod is designed specifically for vertical jigging, though it's versatile enough to be used for various saltwater fishing techniques. Rod blanks are made from a 1-piece, tubular graphite?composite for lightweight toughness. Heavy-duty Fuji stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts hold up to hard use and minimize line friction with both mono and braided lines. A non-corrosive graphite reel seat ensures a secure lock on the reel foot, eliminating flex while under heavy loads, while a Torque EVA foregrip provides comfort and enhances control. A rubber gimbal keeps the rod butt solidly planted in the fighting belt to minimize fatigue during prolonged battles. The PENN Rampage Jig Spinning Rod is a lightweight yet rugged saltwater fishing rod made with quality components offered at a great price point.

Solid Jigging rodWell built. Not the lightest but also no heavy SOLID rod with the balls to keep big fish away from cover. I do a ton of jigging offshore here in south Florida and this rod hasn't ever failed me. Definitely recommend it as it will take the abuse vertical jigging dishes out on your gear. I paired mine with the Penn Spinfisher 6500SSV loaded with 50LB diamond braid. My go to every time.

Perfect All Around RodNeeded to replace a couple of old jigging rods and saw these and decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed, caught 30 bull reds, several sharks and had a couple of UFO’s in two days of fishing. Rods have plenty of backbone and my wife really likes the foregrip.

I bought it 2 weeks ago and i use it for the first time last week, and i was very happy with it, people tell me that penn rods are junk, time will tell, have a 1 year warrianty with it. It is sooo light and after 6 hrs of fishing I was still able to hold it and bring in big red grouper

Good stick, but a bit heavyI bought this to match up with a Penn Clash 5000 reel and the fore-n-aft pivot balance is great. The rod seems a bit chunky in the grip and seat area, hence the 4-star rating. Fortunately, I have XL hands so it's not a problem for me, but might present a handling problem for some of my smaller charter boat clientele. Great value for the money. I have caught some real lunkers using Penn's conventional Rampage jigging series rods and these are all 5-stars in every category.

Best value and versatility on the market. These rods are so versatile that I have replaced almost every spinning rod on the charter boat FUNYET with them. They are great for not only jigging, but also for casting long distances to busting tuna. They are also great for bottom fishing for grouper , snapper, amber jack and just about everything else that swims here. They are great for casting live bait to sailfish and dolphin also. I even use them for shark fishing in the Back country for big fish on light tackle. I have most paired with 750ssV reels and 50 pound braid. The rest are strung with 30 pound Vanish and cover just about all scenarios that I fish on a daily basis. The value is unbeatable and the quality is top notch. I can affoard to carry 15 rigged for just about any situation I can come across Here in the Lower Florida Keys. Now what to do with all of the rods that these replaced.
