PatternMaster Code Black Goose Choke Tube
Code Black® Goose Choke Tubes by PatternMaster® are designed specifically to deliver a tight shot pattern with a short shot string to effectively down geese at long range. A short shot string is more effective on flying targets as the pellets strike the target all at once; where as flying targets tend to pass through drawn out shot strings with few pellets striking them. And, more pellets hitting at once increases the intial foot pounds of energy. Code Black Goose Choke Tubes are especially advantageous when goose hunting with 3-1/2" shotgun shells that are notorious for producing long, drawn out shot strings, though they work equally well with 2-3/4" and 3" shells; and they work equally well with steel and lead shot. Patternmaster choke tubes are made of heat-treated stainless steel and are finished with a non-reflective bronze titanium coating. Tubes extend 1-1/2" out the barrel and are ported to reduce muzzle jump, aiding the shooter for faster follow up shots. Not for use with shotgun shells containing flight control wads, or with or shotgun slugs.

Great ChokeThis choke was put into my Remington versamax and it has preformed very well. I used it during turkey season and gave me a great pattern and I could confidently take a bird out to 50 yards.

Works greatWent Goose hunting out of a pit with the Pattern Master. I was crushing the geese. They folded nicely with 3 1/2 inch BB. Traded to my Black Cloud Mod choke and noticed they weren't folding like the Pattern Master... Works great on my Benelli SBE 2

Code Black but no Black CloudsIf you hunt ducks/geese more than a few times a year, you must spend the money on one of these. They are AMAZING! I usually shoot Federal 3" #3 1 1/4oz for ducks and BB for geese. I hit a lot of birds (but I also had a lot of cripples which required me to run out in the water and shoot more shells while my dog is swimming after the same wounded bird). Installed the Pattternmaster Code Black Duck long range, same gun, same shell/shot only this time the birds dropped dead!! No back up shot, No shooting it 7 more times on the water...the birds I shot dropped DEAD!! only bad thing is you cant shoot black cloud ammo with these...or at least your not supposed to!?

Nice choke..but find shotshell it likesBought the code black duck for my Rem. 1100 last year and was missing alot compared to regular full choke. It says to use under 1500 fps and i was using 1550 winchester. It was shooting way low when I patterned it. A friend gave me some Kent 1 3/8 ounce #2 @ 1300 fps and it was a big difference...patterened much better. Will be using that load this year and see how it does.
Has anybody had any problems with this choke while shooting blind sides

Will this choke fit a Mossberg 535 12 guage
Asked by: Cntryby
Thank you for your question. The Mossberg 535 uses an Invector or Winchester/Weatherby/Mossberg choke tube. The PatternMaster Code Black Goose Choke Tube does not come in that thread pattern.

Code black goose vs code black duck
I heard the only difference in the two is the goose is 1/2" extra length to accommodate 3 1/2" shells. Now I have an outlander A300 which only shoots upto 3". So does this mean me getting the goose choke is not any advantage over the duck choke?
Asked by: Shane27
Thank you for your question!
According to PatternMaster, the Code Black Duck (or Classic Long Range) is designed around a 3"shell, while the Code Black Goose (or Extended Range) is designed around a
3 1/2" shell. If you shoot 3" shells out of the Duck tube you will get the equivalent of a Full choke up to 60 Yards, while If you use 3" shells out of a Goose tube you'll get results equal to a Full to an extra full pattern up to 70 yards. I hope this clears things up.
