excellent float tube...none better!I bought this tube some time ago, and it is outstanding quality and well built. It has an excellent amount of storage which I find essential.
A blow up backrest and seat is the best. The foam seats and backrests I find uncomfortable and are not adjustable, as are the blow up seats.
In choppy water, it is very stable. I also find it very maneuverable, if the right fins are used. There are many styles but one stands out, Force Fins. The others may need boots to wear or are too stiff to get anywhere. Also wear rubber booties over your waders to protect the neoprene foot.
I've float tubed and guided for 35 years...trust me, I know what works and doesn't work

Absolutely OutstandingCome on people, this is one outstanding flost tube. In fact, they really need to invent a new name for out. It has a raised bow Like a boat so it moves thrub the water well and deals with wind and small waves. The inflatable seat and seat back are comfortable for hours and keepn your butt out of the water. Very maneuverable and sea worthy. Lots of storage. Wish there was a second main tube but I think the seat will support me. Just be ready for all the bank fishermen who complimentb you on your fine boat..... Just buy it and enjoy.

FAT CATWhile the fat cat is easy to maneuver, it has a big flaw. I like to stop in mid stream and fish the rapids, but the fat cat does not have a cross bar across the front to ensure the float tube does not slip around you. This is critical if you want to quickly step out to fight a fish or fish an area. The basket apron in front works great ands does help hold your excess fly line versus just a flat apron. The entire tube does fold into a small bundle for its size and was able to fit in my fishing gear bag with all of my other fishing supplies, thus eliminating and extra bag for the plane. The air seat and back are also more comfortable vs the old styrofoam seat. It also does a good job of keeping my 250lb frame out of the water. But guys, you have to build in a cross bar! I am going to try to rig something myself to make this the best float tube ever.
I used another brand loaner tube very similar to the Fat Cat. I was constantly sliding down in it an had too fight to stay in it. Is the Fat Cat good about keeping you firmly seated and not having to re position yourself all during your fishing ?

Thank you for choosing Bass Pro Shops. Per the manufacturer, as long as everything is properly inflated you will be fine.
