Great Purchase!I had never used a kick boat (float tube) boat before, but decided to take the plunge and invest in one to do some lake fishing. After some reading, I settled on the Fish Cat 4 Deluxe. Although I don't really have any frame of reference, this boat was everything i was hoping it would be. Light and compact to travel with, but when inflated, it rides fairly high and keeps you up out of the water. Adequate storage in the built-in pockets. If I had to find a negative, it might be the stripping basket. Although functional, it is a little flimsy. In addition, there is no good way of holding your fishing rod. I purchased a strap-on rod holder, but haven't actually had it on the boat yet. Nothing to keep you from purchasing this boat in my opinion.
Overall, I am very pleased and look forward to getting out on the water again soon!

Worth the moneyPositives: valves are great, your seat is completely out of the water so you can wear your normal fishing vest, the tube material is tough. the seat is comfortable. Slight negatives: the stripping apron/basket is too flexible so I attached a strip of 3/4" wide aluminum to the outside of the front piece with some pop rivets. The seat back seems to be a bit too far forward. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Float high and be comfortableThis is my first float tube. I have used this one for two years and think it is a very good product. It has two separate tubes which I like for safety. The seat and backrest inflate separately so you can adjust seating to your comfort. You ride high and out of the water which is great when it's cold.
It has D rings for backpack straps which you can purchase separately. It is somewhat heavy so you will probably need them if you are walking any distance.
Good storage in pockets for food and gear. Room behind seat for small cooler or other gear. There is a spot for storing a drink.
I wish it came with a holder for a large net for lake fishing but you'd need to purchase that and a rod holder since it doesn't come with those.
Overall it feels like high quality construction that will last. I feel comfortable when using it even in somewhat windy conditions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Comfortable but heavyI compare this purchase to my old Bucks Bag tube. The Fish Cat is comfortable and stable, but heavy. I'm really not all that fond of the new detachable aprons that they are putting on a lot of the tubes theses days. They are not as functionable as the old style that is attached to the tube. This is a good tube for some one who spends a lot of time on a lake and doesn't have to carry it far.

ExcellentI've been using this float tube for about 6 months now. I has performed great. On the still water it's like sitting in an easy chair. There's plenty of storage for my tackle and lunch. The D rings make easy work of attaching rod holder and anchor. I sit high so there is no problem staying warm even in the cold waters of the northwest.

Top notch!I had two other tubes before I got this one. This is far and away better. You ride higher and stay warmer, it moves fast, and it's super durable. I doubt I'll ever get anything different.
