After you've experienced the superior wet-rubber traction of the Orvis® Pro Wading Boots for Men, you'll never want to step in wild waters again without them. Orvis teamed up with the rubber-making experts at Michelin® to create outsoles to specifically meet the unique challenges of fly fishing. The revolutionary Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsoles deliver 25% better abrasion resistance and a resounding 43% improvement in wet-rubber traction compared with the competition. Michelin tire geometry increases stability using a wider footprint, a higher ratio of surface contact, and a shock-reducing lug pattern for better pressure distribution. Two-layer midsoles feature a co-molded ESS plate for improved stud retention and torsional stability. The shock-absorbing phylon midsoles improve foot feel on river bottoms and compress less than standard EVA midsoles. Designed for high-impact sports, OrthoLite® 3D-molded X25 insoles maximize all-day comfort and arch support. Industry-first cast polyurethane uppers eliminate seams while providing a zoned cage to further increase stability, grip, and abrasion resistance without adding bulk. High-cut uppers enhance ankle support and come lined with cushioning closed-cell foam. Scratch rubber on the toe caps and heels add abrasion resistance in high-wear areas. Use the oversized heel pull for easier on and off. Orvis Pro Wading Boots' tightly woven laces last longer without breaking than ordinary laces. 12 strategically placed locations for optional studs (not included). Avg. Wt. Per Pair: 3 lbs. 2 oz.
